We came on a day pass for $75 for towels, 2 course lunch and three drink plus use of equipment. The place is absolutely beautifully kept and the staff were lovely, we had a great young man walk us up to an amazing view point. Food was really nice. There seemed to be no one else in the resort while we were there and it was wonderfully quiet. Highly recommend :)

Paradise on earth...really! We initially booked into the Junior Suite, room 10 which is gorgeous, with the most stunning views of the sea, and other islands, right from your bed. That room is on two levels with stone-steps in between and unfortunately my elderly husband got up in the night and fell down the steps, causing an injury. After a trip to the rather rustic hospital, with the aid of the local police, we returned the same night. By the morning word of the accident had got around and Ian, the GM and staff could not have been more wonderful. Housekeeping head, Cellas, had her lovely staff move us and our belongings to a safer room, with no steps and it's own pool, where we lived out the remainder of our stay in great comfort and with no further incidents! Fabulous in every way...the bedroom, living space, pool, patio and views in our new room (#8) were like being in the tropics in the 1920s. Total luxury and just enough fellow guests to enhance rather than spoil the ambiance! Most of all the staff, lead by Ian and Ops Manager, Shardelle, are beyond wonderful, kind, thoughtful and incredibly helpful, without having to be asked. For example, Lois, a member of the housekeeping staff, is also a geriatric nurse and gently and competently helped my injured husband on with his sweater. Aside from making excellent drinks, (try his passion-fruit daiquiri) Esau, the bartender has a friendly, humane demeanor and took it upon himself to suggest our room-move to Ian and then frequently stopped by to see how we were doing. I also need to mention James, the tall security-man, who seemed to pop up each evening after dinner, without being asked with an offer to escort us back to our villa, with his steadying support and powerful flashlight, and would stop by frequently during our stay to check on our welfare. Guests tend to stay mostly in and around their individual villas, so when you're on the beach, you have it virtually to yourself. Grounds staff do a great job of keeping the Sargassum seaweed at bay, the garden and pools are tended to daily and everything inside and out is pristine and quietly luxurious. The food is quite marvelous. Mostly we enjoyed delicious individually made full breakfasts on our villa's patio, the eggs were perfectly poached and the daily fresh juices were exotic and refreshing (especially the raspberry juice). The chef and his staff prepare an appetizing and delicious menu on a different theme each day...the food is fresh, looks beautiful on the plate and is served by the most friendly wait-staff shout-out to Antonia and Lanique particularly. The dining room, virtually surrounded by water, has incredible views and a soft breeze wafts through...it is a place to sit and savor the great food, view and ambiance and indulge in the art of doing nothing. All in all, in spite of the accident, we had a magical time at The Liming on Bequia. Selfishly, I almost don't want to tell anyone about it, so

We just had an amazing 6 nights at the Liming and can’t wait to come back next year. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the beach pristine, the private pools heavenly, and the service exceptional. The staff at reception, restaurant, and bar was very friendly and welcoming. The vibe is very chill and quiet and you barely see anyone. It is a 30 min drive from town. There’s nothing to do nearby and this is good. Food 8/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Facilities 10/10. Service 10/10. Staff 10/10. Relaxation 10/10. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for the amazing stay and the wonderful staff that welcomed and took care of us.

The wait staff are very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was busy, but we felt well taken care of. The fish sandwich and the roti were both very good, and the homemade Red Velvet cake is to die for. My passion fruit daiquiri didn't really taste of passion fruit, but was lovely just the same. We found the price of San Pellegrino at $18. US a bottle was a bit over the top.

We have recently returned from our 2nd visit to The Liming, and what an improvement! Ian, the new GM has really got a grip of the catering, and service, making this a wonderful location. One feature of the local charm is the cats that live in the gardens on the property. We discovered that a local charity BAPA – The Bequia Animal Protection Alliance, working alongside the local vet, Dr. Saskia Gooding – exists in nearby Port Elizabeth. Whilst at the Liming we were happy to set up a regular donation with them, specifically to look after the cats, and to administer an ongoing neutering programme. The value of this was underlined by the fact that a young cat, who was visibly pregnant, was found dead on the property the day after we had left. Dr. Gooding has agreed to update us regularly on her own website, as to how she finds the health and welfare of the animals going forward. Fellow guests, Please do join us along with Dr. Gooding in your support for this project, in the hope that management will bring the Liming, and all its staff on board as well. With very best wishes to All at The Liming!

We just had the most relaxing, lovely, seamless stay with The Liming. The accommodation is as superb as you would expect of a hotel of this standard, the views, the sounds of the ocean, the clean, blue sea, spectacular sunsets, delicious rum punch were all brilliant. But what really makes the hotel is the staff. From Tyra at the front desk, through Declan in the kitchen, Simon who collected us from the airport, Celestine, head of housekeeping - nothing was too much trouble. They were all charming, fun, and helpful. They really made our week an absolute joy. If and when we can afford it we will be back like a shot. We arrived back in the UK looking and feeling five years younger and frankly blessed to have been so warmly embraced by the staff, and everyone we met in the island. What a place.

The overall service here is fantastic. Our group had a five bedroom villa with fantastic views and a private swimming pool and dipping pool. The greeting when we arrived was fantastic. Our driver arriving and leaving was also exceptional. The cleaning crew had everything pristine. Lovely beach. The only weak spot is the restaurant. We only stayed two nights prior to sailing for a week. That meant two breakfasts and two dinners. Although the dining area was lovely, and the cocktails were great, table service was awful, which was really amazing, given how great the service was in every other way. Food was just OK, and my husband, who has celiac disease clearly got gluten the morning we left and was extremely ill on the way to the marina at St. Vincent. If you want to eat elsewhere it was not convenient since The Liming is off the beaten path. A lovely place, but you're not going to walk anywhere.

This is the perfect place to restore your soul. The photos don’t do justice to the aesthetic and quality of the beautiful bungalows-with their own small but perfect pools. Days spent here reading to the sound of the waves, watching the inter island planes fly over the lovely restaurant. The team are phenomenal- helpful and friendly, they all take pride in their work. Ri and Declan cook some of the best food we have had in the Caribbean and we’re happy to accommodate requests. Overall, we felt the resort offers excellent value, it really is barefoot luxury; totally relaxed. Special shout outs for Celeste and the housekeeping team, Antonia, Kashelle and Asha in the restaurant and the ever charming Esau in the bar. Even the maintenance team are delightful. Some options on the menu and the wines are subject to delivery issues. The new management team are working hard to make the Liming a special place - and it is.

Had a day pass here today. Wonderful location, delicious food and rum punch and the staff were brilliant. Good value and will come back again. Haven’t stayed in any of the rooms but the restaurant, loo’s and shower were the best. Give it a try !
