Travelling from Australia we really love the look and atmoshpere of these English Pubs. Great room
Great service.
Very short walk to Port Isaac.
May be a bit challenging for some to navigate the steep stairs.
Very friendly and Harry (think that was his name) was great value.
Perfect pub and accomodation for a perfect setting.

3 couples we all met for lunch and were made to feel welcome by the guy behind the bar. The food was great and we were well looked after by the girl in the restaurant. loved the location But would imagine parking being an issue during the peak season.

A very nice evening in this pub-situated right in the heart of Port Gaverne by the beach. You couldn't ask for a better location. We are delighted that this pub has changed hands and it is coming back to what it used to be. As regular visitors to Port Gaverne we had avoided the pub for a few years but now it is back on track. Hooray. Our waitress ( Isabell) was very helpful with suggestions when I was undecided what to order. Service was quick and food was great. Very happy.

Excellent host and lovely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed and room. Excellent food and drink choice. Beautiful location for beach and coastal walks. Highly recommend.

A truely beautiful spot! There isn’t much parking here but that’s what makes it so unspoilt! We had a lovely breakfast outside and staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating. We wanted to go back again but have run out of time. Will definitely go back on our next trip!

We stayed for two nights, after often staying in the past and saw that it’s under new ownership,. It changed hands a couple of months ago and the new management is doing a great job bringing it up to scratch. The manager, James was very helpful as were all of the staff and we appreciated the welcome we received. We felt that our room, with a lovely view over the bay could have been better configured as the seating was uncomfortable and the furniture seemed somewhat haphazard - hopefully next time the nice balcony will be accessible again. However despite this we thoroughly enjoyef our stay and hope to be back soon.

8 of us dropped in for lunch on Thursday 12th June - the staff were great and the food also. Highly recommended. P Ghazala.
