The experience at Paradise Cove far exceeded any expectations I had for staying on Efate Island and I highly recommend it. The service, the ocean, accommodation, F&B and relaxation was fantastic. Everyone from owner Constance and her family as well as the large contingent of restaurant and bar, cleaning , grounds and security staff were helpful and made you feel special. It is a beautiful spot with a very relaxed vibe, lazing in the hammocks or beach recliners beside clear water (no waves), very accessible by the resort’s small private jetty – just a few steps down and jump in. Swimming and snorkelling did not seem affected by tides as in other locations. Fish galore when we snorkelled. We also spotted starfish, sea cucumbers and a sea snake one day. Outside of swimming and snorkelling we used the resort’s free bikes as well as went for a walk around the area, with the local loop road/path taking you past a couple of other resorts should you need any refreshments while out and about. Our 2 bedroom villa had a covered outdoor area with its own hammock and beach recliners then inside to a large lounge and kitchen area with ceiling fans and air conditioned bedrooms and a large bathroom – all set amongst lush, well-manicured grounds. The buildings are very solid and well built after previous cyclones. This means the wifi could be a little limited within parts of the villa (but fine at all communal areas) but I believe the owners are currently working on improving that. We ate at the restaurant – great food and wonderful happy hour cocktails – with part of the restaurant down by the water’s edge which is a lovely location. F&B costs everywhere on Efate are similar to Australian costs. We also cooked once or twice in our villa. If interested in that option, the tip is to shop in the large supermarkets found around Port Vila town as there are only tiny local shops some walk or bike away. Paradise Cove is a little further out of town than other resorts around the Pango area which helps makes it so wonderful but it also means the local minivan buses that traverse the main road may not be as frequent as other resorts but we did use them once or twice. I believe there is a quick resort water taxi arrangement into town which we didn't get the chance to use. Constance was very happy to organise transport and island tours which we took advantage of and all went like clockwork. I would absolutely stay again if I go back to Efate.

Since our last visit, unfortunately Paradise Cove and Vanuatu more broadly were struck with a severe tropical cyclone last year. Unfortunately this destroyed the iconic Nakamal at the resort. That's the bad news. The good news is that the staff, food, accommodation and management are still 5 stars. Whilst the Nakamal is no longer, they have installed a series of sails to give coverage to the bar and upstairs eating area which provides a lot more light and a completely new feel. The downstairs meal area next to the water has been completely rebuilt and is a beautiful upgrade to the previous structure and our absolute favourite. If you want to just chill out & snorkel in the best snorkeling area of Port Vila with attentive staff & great food, you can't go wrong here. However if activity is your thing, they are more than happy to arrange &/or suggest a range of activities available around Port Vila. The consistency of the complete package that the staff & management provide is the reason we will return for our eighth visit in the not too distant future.

This is was our first trip to Vanuatu and we booked Paradise Cove based on its reviews and proximity to Port Vila. We were not disappointed. From the moment of booking, Constance went out of her way to make our journey seamless, even alerting us to flight changes before the airline and adjusting complimentary transfers on our behalf. The resort itself is stunning. Pictures cannot do it justice. We snorkled every day right off the jetty and cycled around the peninsula and into Pango village both days. Snorkels, kayaks, bikes and more all provided free of charge by the resort and became one of our favourite experiences. Our villa was spacious with air conditioning and well equipped if we wanted to cook. However the restaurant on site is wonderful! A great menu with Mediterranean and Melanesian influences and beautiful seafood. A particular favourite was the calamari! The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive! We loved joking and chatting with them each day! Port Vila is an easy 10 min water taxi (a great experience!) or 15 min drive. With plenty of shops and supermarkets. There are also small stores in pango village with the essentials. Tours can be booked easily with any of the staff. Make sure you have cash to pay the drivers!! I could go on. We loved every minute. Thank you Constance, Marc (and Figaro the cat) as well as all the wonderful team members at Paradise Cove. Jen and Ciaran

This was my first visit to Vanuatu but hopefully not my last. PCR is a wonderful choice for a holiday, clean, comfortable accommodation. All the grounds are paved or grassed. Staff all were delightful and very responsive to any inquiries or needs. The snorkeling was great straight in front of the resort. Being a small resort everyone knows your name quickly and Constance and her husband Mark (?) the owners were a visible presence and checking you were happy all the time. The waterfront covered eating area was great to catch a cool breeze and have your meal at. There are numerous sun loungers and bean bags for lounging on with a book or cocktail. A great place to spend a holiday. While I couldn’t fault any staff in any way, I did particularly find that Gabriella’s happy smiling face couldn’t help but make you smile too. I really liked the laminated colour leaflet showing & naming the fish, coraly and other sea life you may see that was in each cabin too.

We checked out the resort today and checked in Tamanu. We already miss it. The room is quiet and clean. Views from the resort is amazing. Dinner on the jetty is really special and they do it without extra fees. We loved that we can just take the kayaks or bikes or snorkeling gears wherever suits. Fully equipped kitchen is also great if you want to cook your own meals. The only thing Tamanu does better is their food. Thank you Constance and your team for making our stay very enjoyable.

I can't add much to the recent 5 star reviews as I completely agree with them. A friend and I have just spent a peaceful, relaxing week in this idyllic spot. Paradise Cove is loved, managed and well maintained by resident owners Marc and Constance. All staff are friendly, helpful and take great pride in their work. The villas are comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant food is excellent with fresh, quality ingredients. Although the location is about 7 kms from the centre of Port Vila, a water taxi or bus are easily arranged by staff. I strongly recommend Paradise Cove Resort and am already thinking about my next visit.
