I reserved a room on line base on the pictures that I saw. When we arrived at the hotel, we got a totally different room. The room was horrible, stuffy, filled with ants. We had no choice but to upgrade with (of course) an extra charge. The upgraded room was just like the one before, and again we had to pay another extra fee in order to move to a basic room. This was a perfect way to get more money out of us. After a long day all we wanted is a hot, nice shower. However, the water was freezing cold. The unfriendly manager had no solution except a bad excuse. Waste of money. What you see is not what you get!

The hotel picture is not revealing the winding road of 8 KM to reach it from Volos. Nevertheless, we managed to go up the hill and the hotel met all expectations. The rooms are clean and of large size. The bathrooms are nice and had all the amenities. We enjoyed sitting in the dinning room balcony with wonderful view of the Volos area. It is a pity we could not use the swimming pool and spa as we stayed only the night. Breakfast was good and I liked preparing my own Greek coffee.

A good hotel in a nice setting on the way up to Pelion Mountain above the town of Volos in central Greece , with clean rooms and clean pool and beutifull garden. The price of the hotel is good, but the cafe-restaurant inside is expensive , ideal place For a pleasant stay with good view ! Very good view from the high rooms!!

Spa doesn't have reception,the girl that does the massages if she is occupied in massage room you cannot use the indoor pool..the hotel manager is rude and obnoxious to outside clients chaising them away if they have high occupancy even though days they are using their services,he is also claiming he is the best manager and theirs is the best hotel in the area.outside pool area is good however the lifeguard doesn't apply rules and let a kid who was continually thrown in the air by his father vomit two times in the outdoor pool .

Nice and friendly hotel. Good location, 5 minutes walk from the village center and restaurants . Clean rooms and very friendly staff especially the front desk. Breakfast good enough but can be better (more fruits)

Where to start? The welcoming staff? The quietness of the super clean and comfort suite? The amazing view on Volos city from balcony? The clean swimming pool? Everything and everyone were perfect. We stayed for three nights after our visit to skiathos island we tried the mountain Pelion. Hope to visit again! Thank you!

Excellent hotel! The staff is impeccable and very kind!! Wonderful room, relaxing bed, beautiful view, rich breakfast!! We went to Pelion for 4 days with my wife to relax and the hotel Portaria turned out to be the ideal choice of accommodation! One more reason to visit Pelion!!
