Praia da Rocha - Tarik Studios

Very basic hotel. Our room was clean enough but definitely needed some upgrades. Thankfully just a place to lay our heads but if you’re looking to spend time chilling in a room this isn’t the place. No pool, no air con and keys to be collected from a hotel nearby (only nearby if you know where you’re going) bumped into 2 girls at almost midnight who had been left there and not given any info as to where to collect keys, luckily we noticed them and gave the info they needed. Felt it was a bit unsafe for the transfer bus to just leave them there so late at night without at least telling them where to get the keys. We where lucky we a had a good driver who took us for ours first. Make sure you have as much knowledge about this before you go. Bonus was it was a 3 min walk from the ***** and the gorgeous beaches. Wouldn’t stay there again.

This hotel, was clean and all the amenities you need including a good sized fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, balcony (need to request especially, if you smoke) spacious and very central for all Restaurants, Bars and Shops and a few mins to lovely well kept beaches. It was not much more for 2 x studios for me and my son to have our own studio. All rooms seem to accommodate 3 persons minimum. There is only one Problem....you have to pick keys up to your apartment from another hotel a good 10 minutes walk.....such a shame. They need to sort this as it was awkward on departure, when leaving at 6am in the morning......in there t & c they say if you dont return keys to the other hotel you will be charged €50.....lucky for us we sorted the night before with the Reception and allowed us to leave keys with them. As, Atlantis Hotels only rent 23 apartments in this hotel. We booked with "On The Beach" if this helps...Enjoy your holiday. Info....do not go when they have "Super Bikes weekend" they rev their bikes in the middle of the night. Oct 5th - 10th. Happy Holidays x
