From the communication booking early in January to our arrival in May every thing went well. Great location, chose a room with sea view and balcony, excellent position giving the best views. Breakfast offering a bit basic, but sufficient. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Parking is simple, it has its own area opposite the Hotel. The old town a ten minute walk away. Definitely recommend this Hotel, we will visit again. Thanks for a super stay.

This is a VERY special hotel. The staff seems to have been here since the 1980:s, all of them, and they are not very warm and welcoming. Time has stod still here, and there is absolutely a charm about that. The only staff that was warm and friendly were the cleaning ladies. The breakfast was a joke, one of the worst I have experienced. Some guest got to get a omelette but nobody offered you - I got one just because I heard an italian order one. I have read a lot of reviews and the positive thing I can say is: the rooms are fresh and they are not very small. The location is good, 10 minutes walk to the harbor.

Location is oceanfront and convenient. Restaurant options are just a short walk from the property and easy walk into the heart of Portoferraio. If you are coming by ferry from the mainland it is just a quick drive to the property. Our room was a small suite with a separate sitting area. We had a balcony in each room overlooking the ocean. Each balcony had a clothesline which was perfect since we needed to wash out some of our travel clothes. There is parking available at the property. Breakfast buffet offered pastries and cereals but you could order eggs and bacon if you wanted that. They did offer a dinner menu but we never ate there so I cannot comment on the quality. They have a lovely outdoor garden seating area. They had a bar in the lobby area. Room decor needs a facelift but they are clean and large.

Very dirty and moldy hotel, only the location saves it! The dining room staff were very kind and courteous, the food was nothing like a canteen! The rooms are old and the beds are very uncomfortable, plus a strong musty smell pervades the entire hotel.

Excellent welcome and flexibility with respect to requests. Very kind and friendly staff, at times familiar, which allows for a peaceful and pleasant stay. Nothing to say about the kindness of the staff, but the structure needs to be renovated! Small room with window overlooking the kitchen fan, microscopic, claustrophobic bathroom, messy buffet breakfast... shame because the location is beautiful!! Splendid location with a wonderful sea view. Quiet area a few minutes walk from the center. "Le Ghiaie" beach front with private and free access, umbrellas and sunbeds. Ample free parking. Our room did not have a sea view but, nevertheless, it was large with air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi connection, minibar, kettle, telephone, desk, armchair and a two-door wardrobe with drawers and coat hangers. The bathroom was quite large with shower, bidet, hairdryer and large storage cabinet. Terrace with line and pegs for hanging clothes. If we were to return, I would ask for this room again... Our friends stayed in a smaller room than ours but with an amazing sea view. Terrace overlooking the sea where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beautiful garden with tables, chairs, sofas and swing, for pleasant moments of relaxation always with an enchanting sea view. Bar, living room with TV and small gym. Excellent cleaning with daily change of linen. Excellent buffet breakfast, varied and plentiful. Dinner with choice of menu (requested at breakfast). Staff (dining room, cleaning and administrative) very kind, helpful, capable and attentive. Very positive experience.
