Grand Hotel View

As someone originally from Brač, I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hotel View in Postira for a short visit — and I was genuinely impressed. It’s rare to find a hotel that blends modern comfort with the relaxed charm of the island, but this place does it beautifully. The location is perfect — quiet, scenic, and just a short walk from the center of Postira. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony with a fantastic sea view. Even during a short stay, I could feel the attention to detail and genuine care from the staff. I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and family!

This hotel has a lot going for it but still needs a couple of little improvements. Positives first. Great spacious room with fantastic view, kept spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom, great products and good hairdryer. Kettle & coffee & mini-fridge and good safe. No milk for coffee though. Spa is good and free to use with robes/towels etc. Decent gym. Excellent WiFi across whole hotel. Staff broadly pretty friendly, esp waiting staff in restaurant. Breakfast decent. Omelettes particularly good. Negatives now. Food in the evening not great, pretty much same choices every night and if your any later to dinner than 7pm then choice becomes limited. Some of the hot food not particularly hot and pizza/pasta looks very tired even by 7pm. Wine choices limited, lowest priced bottle of wine is 35euros and wine by the glass ok price wise but tiny measures. Reception staff (with the exception of the male) abrupt and not particularly helpful. Coffees around hotel not great. Paying for sunbeds at the hotel beach is poor! Atmosphere in the restaurant pretty dull - lot of older people doing a lot of looking you up & down! All in all we had a lovely stay but even though we had paid half board we decided to eat out in the village 5 of our 10 nights just to give some variety. Croatia though we loved!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was good - cleaning staff (room and hotel) excellent. Pool was lovely - always clean. Balcony was wonderful - perfect view. Entertainment - 1 night out of 7 had live entertainment- so dead in the evenings. Food extremely poor. Most days - even if arriving at opening time - chips / pasta / spaghetti / potatoes were stone cold, at the best ‘slightly’ warm. One evening beef soup was basically water - no flavour whatsoever.. Food often not labelled clearly if at all. Very repetitive menu options - management need to take action. We will never stay here again and would recommend people looking at this holiday to eat outside of the hotel. Man making eggs was helpful at breakfast - offering fresh / heated eggs. Most other waiting staff often unfriendly. Very poor food experience overall. Worst we have experienced in our lifetime. Overall - hotel / pool environment excellent. Staff average. Food terrible.

**Rating**: ★★☆☆☆ My recent stay at the Grand View Hotel in Postira was a mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects worth mentioning. **Arrival and Check-In**: Unfortunately, our stay got off to a disappointing start. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a rude manager named Jakob. I had booked our holiday through TUI, and although there was no option to reserve connected rooms via the agent, they did send an email to the hotel requesting an upgrade if possible. However, the hotel never responded to the request, and upon arrival, they claimed they had not received the email. To make matters worse, the manager informed us that no upgrade was possible as the hotel was fully booked. This lack of communication and courtesy was frustrating and set a negative tone for the start of our holiday. **Hotel and Facilities**: The hotel itself is lovely and modern, but several aspects left much to be desired. The food was just okay, with very little variety—every day seemed to offer the same options, which became quite repetitive over our 10-day stay. **Staff and Service**: While most of the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, the overall experience was marred by the manager’s attitude and the behavior of a young girl working at the bar. She was absolutely awful, even attempting to serve my husband a glass of wine in a dirty glass, which was unacceptable. **Amenities**: The sun loungers by the pool were the most uncomfortable we've ever encountered in a hotel, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool area. Additionally, despite staying for 10 days, there were only two instances of live music, leaving the hotel feeling quite dull with very little entertainment or activities for guests. **Kids Club**: The highlight of our stay was definitely the kids club. The staff running it were incredible—warm, friendly, and genuinely made our children feel welcome and engaged. Their effort and dedication were the saving grace of our stay. **Conclusion**: While the Grand View Hotel in Postira has its positives, the negatives, particularly the poor service from certain staff members and the lack of activities, overshadowed the experience. It’s a decent hotel, but the management needs serious improvement, especially in how they handle guest requests and communication.

The grand hotel view was an incredible stay, our room was very well air conditioned and the beds were very comfy. Our balcony overlooked the Adriatic Sea and we were able to watch the most beautiful sunsets. The staff were incredibly welcoming and catered to our every need and even gave us a little honeymoon surprise! There was a good variety of fresh high quality food which we really enjoyed and even had some gluten free options! A great place to come and relax, and whilst it's a family hotel, this didn't impact on our experience as a couple. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The good: The village nearby is lovely. The rooms have spectacular views. The hotel is pretty new so in good condition. The bad: The service is disinterested and surly. They charge you to use the gym. They charge you to use their sunbeds/parasols on the beach directly outside the hotel. They don’t manage the levels of sunbed reservations, meaning that either you need to get up very early to get somewhere to sit, or accept whatever is left over at a more sociable time of day. The parking (which they charge you for) is a joke. They don’t have enough spaces and when inevitably the spaces run out you have to park next to a football pitch on the other side of town and walk back. Overall: the missing element is an understanding of what service in a hotel of this standard is supposed to look like. On a long trip across Croatia, this was our favourite place (Postira) but least favourite hotel.
