We visited this restaurant recently (11Jan25) and received a very warm welcome. The food was delicious and the waitress was amazing, she was professional and funny and nothing was too much trouble. My only comment was the actual area we were seated was rather cold BUT it was freezing outside. I would definitely recommend a visit

My partner and I had Sunday dinner here and we found everything exceptional. The location, venue, attentive friendly staff and the food all truly superb. The people running this place obviously go the extra for their customers and it shows.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Inn. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the food was fantastic, it really is a lovely rural place to stay. the owners are very friendly , as are the locals. this is a very rural location, very narrow lanes with passing places, but well worth the drive to see fantastic country side. hoping to return in the near future.

We chose this pub/restaurant on a recommendation. We were not disappointed, we had fillet steak cooked to perfection, my wife had brisket, once again wonderfully cooked. We finished the meal with two of the best pavlovas we’ve eaten. Overall a gem of a restaurant, great attention to cooking. Food served timely by friendly staff. Highly recommended. Small drawback is access by windy narrow lanes, take your time and be alert.

I went there for a few days over Christmas/New Year as I have done for several years now (apart from during the pandemic restriction time). It really is a hidden gem of a place I discovered first as a recommendation for somewhere to eat. The food is excellent. I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment especially during Easter and the summer months. The chef Steve (one of the hosts) presents a varied menu of delicious, well presented meals, which leaves a person truly spoiled for choice - the best way to deal with the issue of working your way through the menu is to eat there several times, especially if staying there. Tracey (the other host) and front of house, is very welcoming with a warm and bubbly personality. Accommodation- the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, all with beautiful ensuite facilities. The beds are inviting and a good night's sleep is assured. Views from the rooms are of rolling hills and fields. It is ideal for walkers exploring the area. This 16th century country inn is located in a tranquil hamlet outside Bridport. It has all that you require for a perfect break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet it is easy to get to local towns by car. This makes a good base for sightseeing with plenty to explore in the surrounding areas. This is a lovely place, well run by a couple who clearly know what they are doing and do it very well with great staff, atmosphere as well as the fabulous food and accommodation. It cannot be faulted as it really does tick all boxes.

A great authentic country pub with very tasty and beautifully presented home cooked food. Lovely outdoor space and play park on site for the children to explore. We were grateful for the mix of sun and shade options outside. Staff were attentive and warm and service was prompt on both visits. Clearly a very popular choice locally and well earnt in our opinion. Thank you all - we will certainly be back next time we are in the area.

This is a super friendly pub with a beautiful garden complete with a children’s play park. The landlady was so welcoming and accommodating to the large family group. The food was lovely and the Dorset gold beer well worth a try. Well worth a visit.

Delicious and welcoming! Had the tempura prawns to start which was the highlight personally for us. Followed by roast beef and a the venison burger with blue cheese, really delicious and could taste the quality. Very welcome staff and a lovely atmosphere. Wish the young lad the best of luck with his welding future and new baby due later in the year! Fabulous place worth a visit!
