Hotel Residence Spalena

A few positives before the negatives. Great location, shopping mall 2 minute walk away and a 10 minute walk to the old town. The apartment itself was large and spacious. Unfortunately that's all the positives. The 'beds' are about as comfy as a park bench. Although the room itself was clean some of the pans/glasses were not fit for use as some were handles were loose or broken. They tried to charge me 20 euros aftercheck out too. After reading some of the other reviews they also charge you for using towels or cleaning up after yourselves. Neighbours doors were banging all day and night. The shower leaked even when the doors were closed which resulted in the bathroom becoming flooded and taking the whole day to dry out. All in all if you are to stay here I wouldn't use anything and bring your own towels/linen so you aren't charged for a 'cleaning fee'. Started out well but in the end a very poor stay.

Not bad at all. Good location, slightly away from tourist traps but not too far to walk to river, palace etc. That said, Residence Spalena overlooks a busy tram route, the noise of which is impossible to ignore. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs or ask for a room that does not face the street. The room itself was spacious with a reasonable kitchenette though there were very few cooking utensils. Large comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with washing machine.

So we booked Hotel residence Spalena for our stay at Prague! The hotel is based in a good location, but unfortunately that’s the only good part about it which is completely outweighed by the risks of staying at this property! The receptionist was totally uncooperative and we tried hard explaining her simple questions during check in. What makes this hotel a risky place to stay is that they are thieves! They whacked off our 50 euros security deposit claiming we smoked in the room just because they thought they got a smell! And they did not bother to confront us about this assumption but simply slyly refused to refund our deposit after we checked out and reached our country! Be careful before u put in any deposit with this fraud hotel!

Terrible experience. Only good thing about this place is the location. The beds are as hard as wood, so are the pillows. They charged my card with 20 euros after check out without any explanation. When I messaged them they said I had destroyed 2 towels. They were just dirty as I used to clean something... I told them it should just be washed and would be fine and they told me it was unwashable. Like... ??? Towels were like RAGS, as old as everything else there. Very very much over priced for what it is offered. Avoid if you can

We were staying in this hotel for 2 days. The guy forgot to give as breakfast cards, so they did not want to give us breakfasts. After we got our breakfast we asked to clean our room. But no one did it. We came to the reception to ask why they did not clean the room. The girl on the reception said that we had to put a paper sign. No one was telling us that information during check-in.

I do not advise anyone to book this hotel! The rooms are dirty, the maids do not do their job at all, when we went to the front desk, the girl asked the maids to immediately come to our room, but no one came. At breakfast we told the waiter about this, he called the chef, to which he answered us that everyone knows about this problem and negligence, but the manager is not interested in it
