Customer Service: 1/5
The customer service at Prince Island Hotel was an absolute disaster. When I arrived to check in, I handed over all my booking details to a female receptionist, only for a male receptionist to demand the same information again, including snapping a photo of my ID. They told me to wait because the previous guest hadn’t checked out yet—fair enough. But then I was left hanging for nearly two hours with no updates. The female receptionist had vanished. A new male receptionist had no clue about my booking, forcing me to repeat the entire process, ID and all. Only then did I get my room—immediately. Why didn’t anyone bother to check on me or let me know it was ready? For a tourist spot where customer service should shine, this was a complete failure.
Staff Behavior: It gets worse. One evening, my partner and I went for a walk and passed by a group of five or six staff members sitting outside a dome. I don’t know what they were waiting for, but as we walked by, they all just stared at us like we were strangers or burglars crashing their party. Not a single smile, not a word of greeting—nothing. Some were sitting, some standing, but all of them gave us this cold, unwelcoming vibe. Even when I glanced back, they didn’t budge, didn’t stand up, didn’t even fake a smile. It was so impolite, it’s laughable. Do they even train their staff on basic manners? Clearly not. They weren’t just unhelpful—their behavior was downright terrible.
Food/Drink Order: 1/5
The food and drink service was another letdown. After settling in, I ordered some food and a bottle of water from the restaurant. The delivery showed up—minus the water. I called customer service to follow up, but after four hours of silence, I went to the restaurant myself. They casually admitted they “forgot” my water—no apology, no effort to make it right. For something as simple as water, this level of carelessness is absurd.
Privacy: 1/5
I booked a dome with a sea view, and while the view was stunning, the privacy was nonexistent. From inside my room, I could hear people laughing and chatting right outside. When I checked, I found other guests lounging in my private dome area, snapping photos like it was a public park. I paid for that space—it’s supposed to be mine! But there were no barriers, no staff to keep intruders out. At night, it got worse with nearby guests blasting loud music through speakers, and not one staff member did a thing about it. Where was my privacy as a paying customer? It’s like they don’t even care.
Food: 2/5
The food was average at best—just basic homemade stuff. But the prices? Way too high for what you get. It felt like a rip-off for such mediocre quality.
Checkout Experience: 1/5
Checkout was the cherry on top of this nightmare. I called for a car to help with our luggage since we had a ton of stuff to carry—backpacks, bags, you name it. The driver pulled up and just sat there in the car, not even glancing at us. We had to load everything ourselves while he did absolutely nothing. Then, on the way, there was a sharp incline, and he floored it so hard one of my bags fell off the car. His response? He stopped, said “oops,” and waited while I had to get out, run back, and grab it myself. Then he had the nerve to tell me to put it in the front. That’s how “helpful” he was—it’s almost funny how bad it was. What a joke.
Overall Experience: 1/5
Would I stay at Prince Island Hotel again? Hell no. Unless you’re just dropping by for a quick visit and can ignore all this crap, stay far away. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. The views can’t make up for the awful customer service, the zero privacy, the rude staff, and that ridiculous checkout. Every time I think about this place, I swear I’ll never go back.
Final Verdict: Prince Island Hotel is a total bust. The staff’s incompetence, terrible attitudes, and lack of basic decency. Save your money and sanity, and book somewhere else.
