Great location in Dartmoor fabulous hot spa for rejuvenation. Great meal at the pub down the road. Room was okay but small but had everything we needed. Great hosts very friendly and helpful. lovely village location. Would stay again. Comfortable bed

Very friendly hosts. Plenty of local knowledge and made us feel very welcome. The little honesty shop is an excellent idea. The room itself was very well presented, (special mention for the great bathroom), and full of the necessary for our stay - and also plenty big enough for ourselves plus two travel crates for the lab and dachshund. We all slept extremely well and will definitely return. The drying room was useful even though we didn't use the hot tub!

This is the most welcoming and comfortable place to stay in Princetown. Our second stay here did not disappoint. The beds are so comfortable with top quality bedding and the bathroom lovely. We really appreciate the self-catering idea having a fridge, kettle, toaster, sink and crockery so we can make our own breakfast and packed lunch ready for a day out on the moor. Princetown is a fab base for walks on Dartmoor and after a day hiking the hot-tub is a welcome treat. Nikki was very accommodating letting us leave our car and belongings whilst we completed a trek along the Abbotts Way - highly recommended too. Stay here - you will feel looked after!

We had an amazing time the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we have already booked a return trip. The hot tub was lovely after a long walk on the moors, and Princetown has plenty of places for refreshments. The prison museum and visitors centre are well worth a visit. Perfect hosts.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay after a long walk.Great location and the room was perfect with its own mini kitchen and table and chairs not to mention how clean and well equipped it was.Loads of facilities at the property that we didn't even have time to use all of. The owners were lovely and really helpful with places to eat and times etc.We will definitely be returning as this place is an absolute gem.

A fantastic overnight stay at the Ramblers. Lovely and helpful hosts, an amazing hot tub and the room was beautiful. I really appreciated their eco-credentials in terms of energy efficiency and even their washing up liquid. I would totally recommend this as a place to stay.

We had a great night in the teeny caravan. We were made to feel so welcomed on arrival and throughout our stay. The facilities were amazing. Even if we did decide to travel to grab a Chinese just a short drive away. We brought it back to eat Infront of the log burner before a dip in the huge jacuzzi. We will definitely be back

Homely welcome. Friendly chatty owners . Great location. Large hot tub available and seating on the South facing patio. Proprietors friendly and good at problem solving. Well equipped room with plenty of space. Maps to borrow and board games for guests use.

First of all I admit I have never stayed here but have stayed for one night in Princetown at a proper B&B who really did cater for walkers and they provided a proper breakfast. I saw the Railway on Channel 4's programme and going by what was shown, as a tired walker having just trudged across Dartmoor there is no way I would want to somehow acquire my breakfast ingredients on the way in preparation for the following day. To call it a Ramblers rest is rather misleading. However as a base for several days walking it would be most suitable.
