San Michele Boutique Hotel

Be careful, not all rooms are as advertised! We were a family so I booked a grande suite and a regular room. The grande suite we were given was an accessible room. We do not have disability needs. Due to accessibility the room had a lot less decoration than the pictures and the bathroom was really poor (see pics). I spoke to the staff several times they maintained it was the same size as the others so in that category. It was just a poorer quality room and should have been sold at a lower price. The reception staff behaved totally demotivated which is in contract to the restaurant staff who are the most charming and the heart of the hotel

The photos of the hotel and room did not reflect the reality. The room (Grande Suite) was spacious but the furniture uncomfortable (except for the bed, which was very nice). The bathroom was small and awkward in layout. I would not call this a boutique hotel because, while it is in a very lovely locale, the amenities and attention by the staff were not at that level of luxury. One of the reasons we chose San Michele was that it advertised spa services through a partner property. Upon arrival, when I inquired about an appointment, I was told that the spa was closed for the season (mid-October). The staff member was not apologetic about the discrepancy nor did they direct me to any other option. We did not feel like welcomed guests in this hotel; the staff at the front desk as we were coming and going hardly looked at us or greeted us. Finally, the price was far too high for the accomodations and services received. Procida was very quiet at this time of year, and the hotel is situated in a charming nook on the island.

We have enjoyed fully our stay. The hotel has a perfect location. It overlooks the marvellous harbour Coricella. Rooms are originally furnitured and splendid small and not so small balconies. Wifi is fast and reliable. Breakfast is abundant and a la carte. Recommended

What a gorgeous place to stay in Procida We had a wonderful room with a large terrace and the most incredible view. Simona was so help before we arrived with my numerous requests and Barbara on reception was so helpful our whole stay. Il Pescatore restaurant was perfect Paradise, Pascal and Patricia were just amazing to us and the food is excellent as is the setting right on the water. The island is breathtaking from the views, beaches, restaurants and we can wait to return to San Michele.

This hotel is a gem ! The most beautiful hotel in Procida in a bohemian style. The rooms are gorgeous, the location is the best, the team is very friendly, especially Simona who helped me with my numerous demands !! And not to mention the restaurant Il Pescatore… the best for us ! If you’re going to Procida, don’t hesitate one second and book it !! Grazie ancora per tutto e speriamo tornare presto ! Simply the most perfect setting for a hotel, overlooking the bay and watching the fishing boats and leisure craft (the gin palaces seemed to be at the weekend only). If you are there over a weekend the bay fills up with an amazing number of vessels and table reservations are a must. The rest of the time it’s relaxingly quiet. Lovely staff on hand to help with any queries. The restaurants are great, particularly Il Pescatore at the hotel itself where the staff are exceptional. The roads are steep so trainers are a must!
