Hotel le Dune Piscinas

Situated between dunes and close to the sea with a private sandbeach was an extra ordinary experience by its own! Hotel staff very friendly and courteous made our stay a very special one! The newly renovated hotel with its special location, the friendly staff, the pool and all the other possibilities in and around the hotel was all in all excellent! Also dinner and breakfast were excellent! Definitely worth to come again for a longer stay

The location is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful wild dunes and amazing sunsets, but it seems like the hotel is riding on that alone to justify the price. There are many superficial "luxury" features, but the substance, and the details, are way off. So much is wrong, starting with the pervasive sewer smell which is, apparently, something that can not be fixed. The rooms are small, ours was missing robes and do-not-disturb tags (the housekeeper barged in because she could not see the do-not-disturb light in the sun). Lots of other little problems in the room like incomprehensible design choices in the placement of light switches, missing basic toiletry amenities, no replacement of beach towels etc. The regular restaurant has a small menu that does not change (although the Maitre was accommodating to dietary requirements). The waitstaff was overwhelmed and literally running into one another and bickering. The upscale restaurant was pretty much what one would expect, also very few menu options. Curious that it is located in between two sides of the other restaurant ensuring constant pass through. It is pretty obvious that the hotel does not attract quality personnel (the housekeeping staff seemed particularly clueless). Few of the staffers seem to be trained, the ones who are responsive and pleasant seem to be new to hospitality and just (to their credit) trying very hard. We found some workarounds with meals at the small beach restaurants just off the hotel premises: basic food but a lot more together and, for us, a lot more fun. We did have massages at the spa and the therapist was very good. We brought all the problems up to the manager who listened politely and suggested various seemingly generous but ultimately odd solutions like a room upgrade to a room that did not face the ocean as we had chosen, etc. All in all we felt there was a huge discrepancy between price and quality and not much concrete plan to improve that ratio. We do travel extensively and understand very well the category this hotel aspires to, it is just not there. As much as we would love to be in the beautiful landscape again, we would not want to stay at this hotel again.

This is a beautifully furnished house in spectacular surroundings, which corresponds to a 5-star level in many respects. In others, however, there is room for improvement. Overall satisfactory even if the price-performance ratio is not quite right.

This is my first time ever reviewing a hotel, however, I came away so disappointed by Le Dune Piscinas that I feel obliged to share fair warnings to other potential guests. While it's undisputed that the area is beautiful and it's clear that the recent renovation was a great success as the property is visually very beautiful, the setting of the hotel is second to none. Having prime position on the beach is unrivalled and to be the only hotel in the area is also a very unique offering as it does feel like a special place to be. I cannot stress enough the service that you receive just does not justify the prices I paid for the stay, it was sub par at best especially if you're a non-Italian speaker. I found that the staff weren't confident English speakers (which by no means is a problem as nowadays there's always a way to translate/communicate) however, this does show by their stand off-ish, abrupt and dare I say rude approach to get any kind of conversation over with as soon as possible, claiming to be a 5 star hotel and then if/when a guest approaches a member of staff with a request only to be shunned away just does not fly for me. Advice to potential guests: The beauty of the area could be enjoyed in a possible day trip, there's a beach club in the area, given it's position it's quite isolated so maybe choosing a hotel in another area with amenities and visiting here for the day would be a smarter option. Advice to management: Do better in training your staff to work at a 5 star hotel level, how to approach guests and cater to guest needs instead of dismissing them or being confrontational.

Great location. But unwelcoming and crazy prices for what you get. If it was a 4 star hotel it would be great. However, for almost 1500,- a night i expect a true 5 star experience. It’s not. Not even close. The staff is unresponsive, check out at 11:00..? In a 5 star hotel? Its a joke. The kitchen is amazing by the way. If i was the kitchen brigade i would get out of there and start my own restaurant. Looks like very poor management.
