Posto da sogno. Personale gentilissimo professionale. Solo estremamente tutti i servizi a pagamento. Un peccato visto il prezzo del soggiorno

This is a hard review to write - there is a lot of 'wow' but also a lot of room to improve. LOCATION: The marketing blurb, and travel writers, refer to the location as totally remote/isolated. Its true that its a beautifully converted mine building at the end of a long dirt track, but it's located on a public beach. There is a large campervan site next door and two beach bars. So at breakfast you get a wonderful view plus people wandering past the roped in hotel perimeter watching you. Not a deal breaker - and the beach bars are very nice - however you're not 'isolated'. GOOD BITS: Staff, location, views, sunsets and the courtyard bar. Wine selection good/deep and sommelier excellent. Courtyard bar staff excellent. Breakfast mind-blowingly good - lots of local treats - insist on eating it outside NOT SO GOOD BITS: Food. We were hoping for (and asked for) romantic sunset food served outside; we got over-priced bland food that was beautifully presented, served in a sterile library like atmosphere by lovely but under trained staff (2nd night was spent at a beach bar - which delivered everything we wanted atmosphere/romance/sunset-wise at a fraction of the price of Le Dune) POOR BITS: Customer service culture. We had a issue with out room (air conditioning stuck on full so room was 'freezing') that was not resolved (they promised to fix it but simply turned off the airco - so the room got too hot). There were plenty of alternative rooms to swap us to of the same grade; this option was only offered late on day 2. I spent several hours trying to resolve the issue - it make a 'stress free stay' stressful. No attempt for feedback - at check-out or afterwards. When we offered feedback it was ignored. This shows that 5* customer service is not ingrained in corporate culture. Le Dune - please improve and please - seek the feedback of your customers so you can deliver more consistently and achieve your potential...

If you are looking for something unique and exciting in Sardegna, this is where to stay. It's a place where luxury meets creativity and style...... not to mention all of it on one of the most naturally beautiful beaches on the island. The commitment behind the project is unmatched -- design and art and thoughtful comfort everywhere -- not to mention wonderful food.

Le Dune resort is located in a unique location, with a fantastic history, a beautiful beach with the highest dunes in Europe all around and recently it has been full refurbished adding pieces of arts and trasforming this previously 3 stars in luxury 5 stars. As all revolutions the result is not fully achivied. Rooms are nice but not at 5 stars level: bathroom essential, without TV set (i.e: if it's a philosofic approach why some rooms have it). Customer Service is good all team was fully committed and very kind. Breakfast is good but 5 stars one are different. Due to the fact it's the only structure in a range of 20km you've to eat in one of the 3 restaurant, but they're not really 3 restaurant, it's the some restaurant in 3 different spaces, 2 with a fixed menu. Food is very good but after a week you're fed up, every day the same menù. So probably it was more honest and aligned with the location to keep an Hotel at 3 or 4 stars and not to target a 5 stars.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and were greeted with great friendliness right from the start. The landscape surrounding the hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, and the hotel's private stretch of beach is gorgeous. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking peace and relaxation.

I had seen some negative reviews of the hotel, but had also seen it on a couple of best lists, so still wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. It's a journey to reach the hotel, but it's in a beautiful and unique location right on the beach. I received a room upgrade which was appreciated, and the room was very nice. However, the acoustics of the hotel are terrible, so it was very loud in the room both from outside and above. To get out to the beach, you have to walk through the nice bar downstairs, and the pool is tucked away on the other side facing the parking lot, so you have to walk back through the bar and reception to reach that, which seemed like an odd setup. You are assigned a beach chair based on your room number, which in theory is a good plan, but when I arrived later in the afternoon there were numerous chairs open and I instead had to sit a foot away from multiple couples because of my assigned chair. I was attacked by gnats as soon as I sat down, so didn't make it long out there anyway. My experience at the bar was the highlight- the bartenders were friendly and attentive, and my drink/aperitif was great. However, dinner was a disaster. When I arrived, there was no one there doing the seating so I had to wander around and try to talk to three different people before I located the hostess. I had booked for one, told her it was for one, and she still felt the need to say, "So you are alone?" When I was seated, I was not given a drink or wine list, and had to ask numerous times to receive one. No one seemed to actually be assigned a waiter to give a greeting or introduction or ask questions; instead, as I was trying to get a drink, a man just came over and asked what I wanted. I explained I was still trying to get a wine list and had not decided yet. When he came back later, I tried to ask him for some advice since I didn't have a waiter- I explained I was between the gnocchi and the linguine with clams. His response was that if I wanted fish to get the linguine- super helpful. I ordered the select three cheeses from the trolley, but rather than actually being able to select, a man just dropped off three with some spreads. When I tried to ask about making the selections, I thought he was having difficulty understanding me but instead he was just being rude and said they are pre-selected. If that is true, the menu should be clearer but at the very least they should be telling me what the cheeses and spreads are rather than just dropping them. My pasta came out before my starter had, so I again had to talk to multiple people to discover that my starter had not been ordered. I told the man what I had ordered, but then was brought out essentially a caprese salad, which was not even on the menu. I had to try and flag people down again to figure out what happened. To his credit, he took the item off my check, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he was trying to give me what he thought I wanted, but

This hotel is amazing with a great mining history. The lodging is surrounded by sand dunes, and the sea. An extremely relaxing location. Be prepared for a rough last 10 km of the drive. I would not recommend trying to go there in the dark. Once you get there, plan on staying and enjoying yourself. This was the perfect place to end our two week vacation in Sardinia.
