Torre Mar is such a great find in the Galapagos. John is super helpful in helping plan excursions and so knowledgable as a former naturalist guide. The apartments at Torre Mar are modern and well equipped. I traveled with a group and we used the social terrace to gather every evening while in Galapagos. If I could give six stars to Torre Mar, I definitely would -- fantastic people & a great location with excellent accommodations.

Torre Mar was a wonderful home base for our family of 9 for a week in the Galapagos. John and Donna were fantastic advisors prior to booking and arriving, and great hosts while we were there--bringing tons of energy and excitement about the locale, sites, and animals. The rooms were great--everything as advertised and just a few blocks from the water front. Be sure to ask John and Donna about options for tours, transportation and more. If you're lucky to have him as your snorkeling guide, every spot John took us to was fantastic!

Torre Mar was perfect! We stayed in one of the apartments and it was very comfortable, modern and spacious. The facilities and supplies in the apartment were great, including drinking water, robes, lots of towels, a tote bag, robes etc. The terrace was lovely. John and the staff were very responsive and helpful. The location is a 10 min walk from the main busy street. Couldn’t fault anything!

We had a fantastic experience at Torre Mar Galápagos Boutique Suites. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to the owner, John Garate for the warm hospitality and for treating my husband and I like long-time regulars. We truly felt at home and appreciated every detail. Highly recommend!

Well furnished suites in a walkable location. Features - comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, house keeping and drinking water. John also arranged laundry services for us which was a life saver traveling with 3 kids. Highly recommended!

Torre Mar is a well run and excellent hotel close to the city center of Puerto Ayora. John, the owner is very hands on. He arranged our pick up from.Baltra airport with Bolivar who is always punctual. John also booked our RT tickets to Isabela Island. You can tell he loves what he does and it reflects on how he takes pride on running Torre Mar. We had a 1 bedroom.suite with a small kitchenette, the bathroom is equipped with toiletries, a nice rain shower and good water pressure, ac working well and has ample towel supply. If you need help with booking tours and other things, don't hesitate to reach out to John. He's a wealth of knowledge as he grew up in Puerto Ayora and is very personable. The rooms are very clean and the bed comfortable. In our short 2 days in Puerto Ayora, John made us feel.at home and treated us like family. Thank you John for everything and kudos to your team for an A++ accommodation.

John and his wife are amazing hosts/managers and extremely helpful and kind. After a mixup with my flights, they were very accommodating and welcoming in changing my dates on short notice. The hotel itself is fantastic; spacious rooms, comfortable beds and linens, well equipped and quietly located about a 10 minute walk from the main street in Puerto Ayora. Travelling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable staying at Torres Mar; John (the owner) was very helpful and available throughout my stay by phone if I needed anything or had any questions.

This is a cute two bedroom apartment located within walking distance of the harbor, many restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is huge and is very well equipped. Plenty of hot water for great showers. Beds are comfortable and the wifi works very well. Our host John was so helpful for taxi set up, restaurant recommendations and beaches.
