Labranda Playa Club

We stayed here last week as a family of 4.. aged from 4 to 73. can't fault the hotel at all. We arrived at 11.30 pm and the lovely receptionist showed us to our room. Which was located in the gardens at the back.. room 138, a 2 bed apartment with 2 patios.. one of which gets the sun all day. Self-catering apartment basic, but all you need for a week with so many restaurants on the doorstep.. we didn't use the pool bar or eat here. The apartment was cleaned 4 times during the week. The grounds are spotless, and paths around the pool and gardens are cleaned daily. The cleaners work hard all day. Sunbeds weren't an issue for us as we didn't lay in the sun or around the pool.. however, I can imagine it's a disappointment to see so many towels so early in the morning on beds that aren't used for hours.. I did see a delivery of new sunbeds during the week.. We will 100% be back to these apartments.. congratulations to all the hard-working staff in the labranda playa club..

We loved everything about the holiday accommodation. From the minute we checked in, the staff were so friendly. A lady with short curly hair checked us in and was so accommodating. We had asked for a first floor apartment and she sorted us out. We had the fear about the loungers by the pool, but on the first day the lifeguard helped us get two. The place was spotlessly clean. The staff all worked so hard. We didn’t see ants or cockroaches at all (thank god!). We also loved the tunes by the pool - there were a few very random songs but apart from that, it was all deadly music and at a nice level. A special mention for Victor at reception- he was a legend. He steered us in the right direction for where to enjoy Carnival and could not have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and I’d recommend the place to friends.

OK what to say about this place .......... We've been to the Canaries before and usually stay all inclusive. This time we stayed B&B in these apartments. My wife and I went for a week a the end of Feb 2025. Avg daytime temp was about 23C. We found the apartments clean and safe. We had an upstairs apartment near the back which was great for us as it meant less noise. Kitchen was quite sparse with cooking utensils and if I was cooking while here I think I'd have struggled. We had a nice balcony that overlooked a green space that was used for sunbathing. Location is excellent. Not right on the front but one row back. Close to the stunning beaches, restaurants and bars. When we arrived I think it was the end of half term so lots of children and the pool area was very busy. It quietened down as the week went on and there was always space a the pool although we did give in and join in the towel reserving crowd! Staff were great, friendly and helpful. My key card kept failing and I had to get a new one pretty much every day which was a hassle. I wouldn't bother with breakfast in future. It was served in the restaurant attached to the complex. Choice from the menu was limited, often they didnt have what we wanted and it would have been better to sort oursleves out each day. Overall, would I stay here again? If we come back to Puerto del Carmen definitely. It's reasonably priced, well located and comfortable without being overly luxurious.

We are currently here, arrived on Thursday for 7 days. family of 4, we have stayed here a number of times in the past, but it will be our last time coming. We booked through love holidays, we were supposed to get a 2 bed apartment but instead got 2 x 1 bedroom apartments, which is fine but they are at opposite ends of the resort, when asked if they could do anything to move, we were told no take it up with love holidays, they take no responsibility for anything if you haven’t booked with them directly. We went to to bed on Thursday night at 9:45pm to find the room was infested with ants/ bugs. They climbed the walls, bed, bathroom etc, went to reception & was told someone would come down to spray the place, I explained they were in the bed room, on the bed sheets & that if he sprays it, we won’t be able to sleep in it. So through his broken English the maintenance man comes in & fumigated the place & tells us it’s safe after 40 mins to return to bed, he even left some Friends behind on the bed for us, the smell was so bad I couldn’t go in to get my belongings. I went to reception again at 10:10pm to explain that I couldn’t sleep in that apartment tonight that I wasn’t going to sit outside until 10:50 pm with a 3 year old crying to go bed, she said nothing I can do !!! What do you want me to do !!! I asked to speak to a manager, told he was away. So we all went to the other one bed at the other side of the complex. I returned to the 141 apartment the following morning & the smell was still really bad, we had a few cockroaches join in for good measure, our tooth brushes, hair brushes, food all had to be dumped as he’d sprayed everywhere, any clothes that were left out were stinking so spend all day washing them Friday (yesterday) we went to reception to another very unhelpful person to explain our story she didn’t want to know, another lady came to clean it & again started spraying bug spray, I’ve been fumigated since I’ve arrived. I went to reception to ask to speak to a manager, again same story, so I left my phone number for him to contact me, guess what … he never did, to add insult to injury I went for a shower last night & the wonderful 141 left us down again & flooded the bathroom, we didn’t bother going to reception as there’s no point. The two ladies there won’t want to know, anyway was it worth the €1850 I paid for the 7 days accommodation, absolutely not, never again !! Stay away

I stayed here with my sister's. we came away for our first sun holiday together to relax and chill out. We had a beautiful pool side 2 bed apartment which we were delighted with. The pool was lovely and warm also and was a nice area to relax but not until about half nine that's if you put your towel out the night before to get a sunbed. None of us were interested in sunbed wars around the pool that's not what a holiday is to us. I also noticed the that most of the sunbeds with towels were empty till lunch or after. Anyway the main reason for giving such a low rating was the power hose that started at the crack of dawn until 9.30 every morning out side our window and around the pool. We couldn't even sit in our patio during this time as the rude power hose man would blow the water up on top of you as if you weren't there. Power housing tiles and throwing sunbeds around every morning I don't see the need every single day. Then the place was slippy and the sunbtwere soaking. I watched many people try to pass the power hose man to leave the complex but he wouldn't let them pass. Now we were 4 mums on a break looking for a break and not to be woken at the crack every morning. A choice of a lie in would have been nice. We did complain to reception but to no avail unfortunately. It was a pity as the location is ideal. A lot of apartments blocked by trees also. The apartment had everything we needed but you do have to pay extra for cleaning. Reception staff very nice. Cleaners shouting across the pool to eachother also added to the noise. There are some pros but the cons especially the power hose has put us off staying there again. We met many people complaining but if they complained at reception or not I don't know. One couple paid for a pool view and the apartment they got was up the back. No view. Overall we wouldn't stay here again.

Location is brilliant, lovely and clean around and in the pool handy supermarket seconds away, great little bar just outside with live music , Carlos and Manuel work hard Only thing is the woman lifeguard,watches you like a hawk, tells you off if you move your sunbed on top , ok tell us that’s fine, but don’t yell and scream all over the pool area, , obviously no customer service skills, spoke, no yelling at everyone, Just walk over and say, do you mind not having a plate / dish / glass near the pool, Otherwise a great find, 2nd time here , definitely recommend apartments well equipped, great walk in shower
