El Galleon Beach Resort

This hotel probably would have earned a 5 star reviewed even if it wasn’t perfect because the location was convenient, the service was excellent, and the food was great.. BUT they had a storage room next to my room. There was constant noise next to my room ESPECIALLY in the morning. Quite unbelievable and I cannot accept this! I was rudely awakened every morning by noise. You need to move the storage room or leave the room next to unoccupied and don’t out guests there. I think a 2 star reviewed is gracious and I highly considered giving a 1 star reviewed!

El Galleon is a gem located in Puerto Gallara, Philippines. This resort also had an amazing Dive program Asia Divers where they can teach very entry level to high level diving. Upon arrival you will hopefully meet Ally who treats like her own the entire team is so attentive and welcoming. There is an onsite restaurant that is open from sunrise to evening hours with a variety of food. They have a very relaxing “living room” area where there is a TV and comfy sectional it creates a place of comfort and connection. They have multiple rooms that are somewhat outdated but all the other amenities make up for that. They even have onsite spa with massages and facials. If you are an English speaking person and want to have more connection this way they had plenty of staff and guests who all spoke English. They also have beach access with their own doc, so if you want to dive or just swim around it is all connected. This is a place worth checking out and for sure diving with as well.

Diving in the Philippines has always been a great experience for us. Marine lufe is abundant, healthy and not scared of people, and people are friendly and helpful in general. But El Galleon certainly sits above other dive resorts for the simple comfort it offers, with very nice rooms, great service and a dive operation that makes you want to come back. Their restaurant is also extremely good, and everything is reasonably priced (one of the reasons why we keep coming back to the Philippines). Dive shop is well furnished and operated, boats are OK for the short rides that take to get to the vast majority of dive sites. We had a great week and will be looking forward to come back here.

This was my 2nd trip to El Galleon and considering how good my 1st trip was , which I thought could not be beaten, I was totally blown away when I have to say it was even better. From the moment you arrive you are treated like a long lost friend. Everyone remembers you and everywhere you loo you are surrounded by genuine smiles from all the team. The diving was fantastic and I completed another course under the guidance of my diving guru Pete Eaton , who is just a great guy who loves to dive and loves nothing better than to see everyone who dives with him enjoy themselves and have the best experience. The same can be said of all the dive crew, Instructors and divemasters and of course the amazing deck crew led by Sir Darwin who is just a total gentleman !! they work so hard to make every dive a joy. Thank you very much for everything that you do !!! The food was fantastic , Toto the chef and his team who conjure up the the daily specials , the mango shakes , the morning coffees , the valentines day dinner , the quality was brilliant !! The waitresses , what a team !!! from morning to the early hours in the Point bar they are always there smiling and making sure you are looked after for your entire trip. For anyone who wants to try Scuba , anyone who just wants an amazing relaxing holiday , I would highly recommend that you plan a trip to this amazing resort and just enjoy the fantastic service and friendliness of all the team that work here. My friends are I did not take too long to agree to return next year for 3 weeks as it is just a brilliant place to visit, make friends and share our passion for scuba diving.

12 night stay and dive package end Jan-Feb 2025. Well run resort, friendly and attentive staff. The Asia Divers operation is well organized and staffed. Plenty of dive sites to explore within Sabang Bay and surrounding area. Single boat trips to and from the dives sites, all within 5-10 mins of the resort. The signature dive sites of Verde Island and the Canyons are the highlights. Blue water entry and exits. Good rip currents propel you across the coral flats to the Canyons for an exhilarating and pulse-quickening experience but worth it to see the shoals of bat fish, sweet lips etc that inhabit the canyons - remember the obligatory photo-op at the Anchor!! Alma Jane wreck also a 'must'. Good professional dive guides. Having stayed and dived with a number of dive operators on multiple occasions in the Philippines from Bohol, Panglao, Dauwin, and Coron, Asia Divers and El Galleon provide a good, solid and professional experience.

The hotel is simply amazing! Very comfortable and clean, great friendly staff, FABULOUS restaurant... diving was extremely well organized - divers meet by the pool to talk about their dives... such cool atmosphere...we will surely go back!
