Aparthotel Maracaibo

One of the best apartments/ hotels we have stayed at a great location. Small supermarket close to apartments packed full of everything ! Staff brilliant, felt like a family run place, facilities great and faultless. In general apartment was great ( we had deluxe room on top floor) well equipped and clean, lovely sea views, towels / linen clean and changed regularly, pool lovely and plenty of sun beds available each day ( for February) bar/ restaurant very good. Staff lovely and helpful. Kept clean & tidy. Food fresh and tasty. Maybe a better evening menu would be good or offer takeaway for the residents. On regular bus route to travel out of the area. Walking distance to town centre and harbour area. Lots of bar’s restaurants too. Plenty of taxis to get you back safely. Steak house opposite is excellent and make fantastic Barraquito…

Second visit to the Aparthotel Maracaibo as we really enjoyed our first stay so much last October. All staff are really friendly and helpful. Especially Valentino, Monica and Lisette on reception. Special mention to Lori at the bar who did a fine job. Rooms are lovely and cleaned every day beds made and towels change if required. Everything you need for self catering holiday. Spa supermarket 2 minutes walk over the road for supplies. Worth the room upgrade to top floors as view is amazing. Sunshine first thing in morning which is fabulous. Beach front short walk via private gate at back of hotel. We will definitely be going back.

We returned to Maracaibo again this year, having had a great stay last year. Again, everything was great & we had the added bonus of the pool and darts room being open this year. Outdoor gym was great too. Not for me to be clear, for the kids to potter about a little. Room was spacious enough& as it was a superior room, we had air conditioning included. We were also left a bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. Full size hairdryer in bathroom is helpful & shower is warm and powerful. Full size, comfy, single beds and pillows allowed for a good sleep. Amazing views although balcony doesn’t get much sun. Pool area great & plenty of sunbeds. Sun disappears about 4pm from the building side but beds on other side and round the corner are usually available by that time. People queued for sunbeds which didn’t happen last year but it was fine. Pool was cleaned by pool guy daily & tested throughout the day. Jacuzzi now available at a charge. Snack bar was fine but ate there more out of convenience. Could do with a slushy machine or something though. Supermarket across the road with everything you need. All in all, a great stay & if we go back to Gran Canaria, I’d always stay here as the staff are all lovely & it has a great location.

Nice hotel great for families or couples. The apartment rooms were lovely and clean and kept so daily. Plenty of fresh towels when we needed them. Kitchen area had all the equipment needed if self catering. Loved the air conditioning but you do need to ask and pay for it on arrival. We had a fabulous view of the ocean and beach as well as the surrounding rock formations. The pool and bar area were lovely just needed more space for sun beds as was hard to catch any free despite notices stating you could not put a towel on them to reserve them and leave until you were ready to use them. No one policed this so pointless notices. In summary a good standard hotel with cats n kittens in the garden near our apartment that added extra delight 😊

Lovely, friendly apartments in a good location. Use the back door. Worth the upgrade to deluxe as includes air con and better sea view. Would recommend and use again. Photos of pool and bar area don't do it justice, pool is small but nice.

Good location, supermarket located across the road. Standard hotel/apartments, all amenities needed are in room, such as kettle, toaster etc. Aircon is 10 euro per day, quite disappointing considering we are in 21st century & peak summer months. States on signs around the hotel no reserving beds however still happens so I wouldn’t be too surprised if people do experience this. Beds aren’t the comfiest, rooms are dated. Room had quite a lot of cockroaches/bugs however do think this is due to the room we were located which was first floor. lovely stay however some areas could be worked on. Would stay somewhere more modern/upto date next time in Puerto Rico.
