Better than expected. Nice big rooms and balcony with table & chairs and 2 sun loungers. Aircon was probably the best we have ever had. Hotel has an adults only chill out area which overlooked Amadores beach which got the sun till late on. Pool was medium size but big enough. Jaime the entertainment manager was very good with all the games. Granddaughter was very impressed. Food was very good and also had BBQ twice a week. Only downside is it is a bit out of the way but we knew that anyway and put some money aside for taxis. Taxi to commercial centre was roughly €8 or a steep walk down. Overall we all really enjoyed it.

Wow!! We have just returned here after a week with our family (children 10, 5 and 1) and we had an amazing time! The rooms were very spacious and having the sun beds on the balcony was such a plus with nap times. The pools were lovely, although we were underwhelmed by the size of them when we arrived they were perfect once we had settled in. Sunbed wars are to expected in a tourist hotel so if you can’t beat them join them in my opinion. Food was great lots of variety it is a serve yourself drinks however I preferred this. The local beach is lovely and the town had some great shops. Jamie in the entertainment team works so hard and does a great job. My only tiny negative is the fact that there is no separate area for the entertainment so it’s very close to the pool so I wasn’t comfortable letting my 1 year old loose in the evenings in case he fell in but other than that is was absolutely amazing and we would thoroughly recommend!!

We've recently returned from a 9 night stay at Hotel Altamadores. We had a lovely relaxing stay the apartments are clean spacious, comfy beds, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Bathrooms a little dated but clean and functional. Large balcony with sunbeds but with plenty of free sunbeds around the pool we didn't need to use them. Good variety of food daily as in previous reviews not the hottest but wasn't a problem for us. Good variety of drinks. Staff excellent(Frederico) always helpful friendly and hard working. We used the free bus service which was an added bonus as the hotel is at the top of a huge hill. We wouldn't hesitate to book again for some winter sun.

We booked last minute a 4 night all inclusive stay at the Altamadores hotel - we had an amazing time. Our room had stunning views over Amadores beach, the whole hotel was clean and tidy. The food was amazing, different every day. Not a single complaint. Enjoyed it that much we’ve booked to go again in September for even longer! There’s a little resident cat which I’m not a fan of cats but you can’t help but love it! There’s a little shop under the hotel with all you can ever need too! We arrived late the first day and they had packed a little goodie bag with sandwiches and fruit for us and even left water in the fridge! Can’t wait to return! Please don’t listen to the bad reviews, one of the most relaxing wonderful holidays we’ve ever had!

I stayed here with family and we had a lovely time. Staff are very friendly Food was great, we have fussy eaters, a vegetarian & allergies & always managed to eat well! Breakfast was our favourite meal of the day, the pancakes with Nutella were a hit. Additionally, having the option to eat with the stunning view was a bonus! Drinks were great and the self service works really well. Our room was lovely, so spacious and the outside balcony/area was amazing! Our only complaint would be a spot of mould in the bathroom due to no ventilation. Our room was cleaned regularly and plenty of towels supplied. We arrived at the hotel at 23:05 and were very disappointed to see there was no food available to us (we were very much hoping!) we then went to use the vending machine that ate our money and we were still left with no food. However I understand this is not the hotels fault, but just be prepared and bring snacks if you are arriving after 9:30 (when the restaurant closes for dinner). I read in reviews that finding sunbeds were not an issues however it began to get more busy as our time to leave was approaching and we found it increasingly more difficult to find available sun beds (unless reserving at 7 in the morning!!) We had mixed reviews about the location because it is on a very very long, steep hill and it was not easy to climb in the heat, however it was easy enough to order taxis from reception and get one to return to the hotel! For me the best thing about the location was the views, utterly beautiful!!! Amadores beach is so beautiful, the most gorgeous beach we have been too. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It was our first time in Gran Canaria and we enjoyed every moment. It was so upsetting to leave!!! Thank you hotel Altamadores

The only two reservations I have about this hotel ìs that the food(which was good) was never hot, at best warm and on the one or two windy orwet occasions there was no public lounge to sit in. Apart from that everyone was kind, helpful and professional. Would return.

    I stayed at this wonderful apartment hotel from 12.12.24 till 19.12 24.in fact I am still here. But I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were great and cleaned regularly and the balcony was so big.The food I have enjoyed and so much choice.The staff have all been brilliant and very helpful and friendly I would just like to give a special mention to the people in the dining room they went out of there way to be there for me and all the diners Frederico, Very, Alona,Joanna,Pablo, Raimon, and all the chefs in the kitchen they are a credit to the hotel.Also a mention for all the housekeeping lady's that cleaned my room and others.
