Booked to come here as a family including my autistic daughter. Spent ages showing her pictures since we booked to get her used to where we were going to make it less stressful for her. Only to be told the week before arriving that they have cancelled our stay with absolutely no explanation. Awful way to run a business. Absolutely shocking and a huge amount of stress caused. Be cautious when booking that they can and will cancel your booking close to arriving and completely ruin your holiday!

My kids and I have just returned from 10 days spent here and we highly recommend it. The couple who manage it are so lovely. I had a nightmare as I managed to arrive without the power cable for a medical device I needed and he tried so hard to help me....including offering to drive me where ever I may need to go. I got it sent to me in the end though. On arrival there is a number to call for entry and the manager arrived swiftly to let us in. We had a pool side bungalow and it was perfect for us. Initially there was no coffee maker, but I asked and he got one sorted for me straight away. The kitchen was basic but had everything I needed.....including sharp knives (so often missing from self catering accommodation) . The beds were incredibly comfortable....I actually miss the mattress now I'm home! But the pillows could have been better. Both bedrooms had a good size built in wardrobe. The shower was fabulous with a constant supply of hot water and good water pressure. The pool was lovely. I think salt water....great temperature and clean. The bungalow was cleaned everyday except 1. Towels were well used but plentiful and smelled lovely. The terrace was huge and had a table, chairs and sun loungers. Only downside is the outside furniture really does need replacing....the table had peeling paint (plastic table that had been painted) and was very wobbly! And the plastic chairs were really uncomfortable. And the sun loungers had definitely seen better days. But they were all still usable so it wasn't a major issue. We felt safe and secure as the entire little complex is gated with key entry. The lock broke on our bungalow door so we couldn't get in one day, but again the manager was quick to repair it so not a major issue. Location is fantastic, I would especially recommend it for people with mobility issues as you're a stones throw from the centre. However that does make for slightly noisy evenings, but that didn't bother us at all. All in all it was basic but clean accommodation, and for the price it was amazing. I am definitely going to return next year. I love puerto rico as it has everything you need. If you want a quiet evening then you can walk up to the harbour and have drinks or a meal with a sea view, or for a more lively evening you can go to the shopping centre and dance or sing karaoke. There's something for everyone and every mood. And the parque raquel is the perfect base with really helpful and accommodating staff. I actually really liked that there was no bar or anything there as it meant that if you wanted to just sit out on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening it was quiet and relaxing.

I stayed here for a few months before and decided to come back solo this time - and my experience was just as good. I stayed in a one-room bungalow, and since there was higher occupancy this winter, the atmosphere felt livelier. That said, my stay was still excellent. I had a great time, met some wonderful people, and I’ll definitely be back next year.

Stayed here for 10 nights (usually stay at cala nova). This place is in the perfect location a quick 4 min walk and your in the centre. Very clean and well equipped place. Kitchen has fridge freezer, microwave, kettle toaster and coffee maker, washing up liquid and big glasses. Table and chairs and 2 sun loungers on the terrace which is a decent size. Comfy beds, cleaner is in everyday apart from sunday.will definitely book again very soon.

Excellent value for money and is easily one of the best places to stay in Puerto Rico. I’ve been coming here for years, it gas always been extremely clean, and it keeps getting better. The improvements are noticeable, and the thick walls make it incredibly peaceful—no noise from neighbours at all. I’ll definitely be back!

Just returned today from Parque Raquel Bungalows room 204 Right good points The husband and wife that run the bungalows are a beautiful couple and I didn’t get the chance to thank her or get her name but you made Ruby’s day and you are a lovely person. The place is spotless clean thanks to her. We were here a week and it was cleaned every day bar 2 . The commercial centre is on your back door step so the location is perfect. The bungalow is dated but we knew that. It was clean and the bed was comfy that’s all I want. The terrace was lovely 2 sun loungers and table and chairs. The pool omg I haven’t swam at any holiday but I swam every day apart from 1 one I was rough. It was like having our own pool. Because the complex was so small and not full hardly anyone used it. It was amazing and a perfect size. The bad bits which to some won’t be There is no air con or fans. We should have hired some in advance but we didn’t . Because it was so hot you need windows open and because the windows are open there is a rave in your room until 5 am . The commercial centre is loud and depending on how many cocktails I had I didn’t mind but at the end of my week I’d had enough. HIRE AIR CON WE WILL BE BACK. It’s so close to everything

just spent 7 days at this small and friendly place.our 2 bedroom bungalow was clean, tidy, spacious and well presented, beds were comfortable for us,pillows were ok. (some may describe the decor as 'dated/traditional,but as i wasnt planning to spend a lot of time inside, it wasnt an issue) We had a very large patio at the front which was nice to have breakfast or lunch, there was a table and chairs plus 2 sunbeds if you didnt want to be around the pool. The pool area was nice and quiet most of the time, perhaps the addition of a few more parasols as there were only 2, and the sun loungers could have been a bit more comfortable. Parqe Raquel is very close to the centre for plenty of bars and food choices, but you may hear the music until the early hours, so if you are a light sleeper earplugs might be handy, or do what we did and have another drink! No hairdryer supplied, not sure if you can hire safety deposit box for a fee PR is excellent value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only negative was no air conditioning at this property but I guess you might be able to hire a fan? Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.
