The location is excellent, providing easy access to various destinations. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, with particular praise for Virginia on the 7th floor pool area.

The place is okay considering the price. However, the food is not good, nor is the quality of the drinks. The juices taste very artificial and therefore the cocktails are horrible. Even a michelada with lemonade is bad because they use artificial lemon. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious, but because of the food and drinks I would not go back.

I got what I want finally after two days. I am impressed with that. No more complaints. I will enjoy the rest of my vacation. Was stressful because of room change and issues with getting a safe to store valuables. It all got worked out in two days

The food here is terrible, spend the money and go out to eat. The rooms are dirty and out dated, get what you pay for I guess

It’s definitely a 4 star resort the outdoor space is beautiful the rooms although they say they are upgraded I’d say they are mediocre. The service isn’t the greatest and geared more towards the locals but all things aside we are very happy with our stay but you definitely get what you pay for here but for my first time ever going to an all inclusive I’m very happy with everything and the food is decent. We’ve tried one of the 3 restaurants that you need to get reservations for and we’re going to a second one tonight. My daughter is having a blast at the splash park with the pirate ship. Other things - food is good but pretty basic - getting a reservation for the speciality restaurants is a bit of a challenge - not many of the staff speak English, it is especially noticeable at the front desk. So if there is anything wrong, it takes a while to get help - they are upgrading the rooms so there can be construction notice depending on where you are located The outdoor pools and areas make up for anything that is lacking. It is a fantastic place if you have kids. The reviews online summarize everything pretty well. We probably wouldn’t come here again, but are still very much enjoying the holiday.

Awful. This resort a fair few good reviews before we booked back in January so it seemed alright but a week or so before we left on the trip, it all started sounding not great. We get there, even worse. The food at the buffet is barely edible (even by all-inclusive standards). The tables and chairs are dirty and old. The service is barely existent. The reservation site/qr code was impossible to use unless you’ve done it before and there are very few spots available (probably unless you’re in the adults only side who seem to get preferential treatment with that). The management needs to address this as it is a big frustration and piss-off, quite frankly, as someone paying for their food to be included and feeling like we need to go off resort to eat remotely decent food. We were only able to get our room cleaned one day out of the 7 we were there, and they never replenished the cold drinks (and obviously I’m mainly concerned about the drinking water). They absolutely cater more to the locals than they do the travelers. So, to be honest, I did like the locals do and didn’t tip much because it wasn’t even good anyways. The drinks were mediocre at best. The main pool was decent but overrun by rude children (I was there with my young children so I’m obviously not being overly judgy with that one). The kids pool is dangerous for the parents to go down the slides with the kids. I quite literally flew into the railing on the one slide when I tried to go down the adjacent side to my 3yr old daughter. The water is murky in that pool too. We checked in at about 7-7:30ish the first night and on our last day I asked about a late checkout being that we didn’t leave until nearly 6pm and was planning on leaving for the airport at about 3pm. Well they said we could if we paid an additional $50 USD per person. Hard pass. An absolute joke to end our awful experience. The take away: we’re not hard travelers to keep happy but this resort repeatedly disappoints in all areas.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I knew booking I wasn’t expecting a lot figured a 3 star but it definitely a 1 ⭐️ The day before leaving I checked with our tour operator Funjet about raccoon issues and cleanliness issues- - they told me it was not true!! We have 3 videos of different times the raccoons were in the hallway!. They also ran by the beach bar to the garbage can at 9pm. The rooms are horrible, we had 2 rooms and there wasn’t even a shower handle on the shower in our room. There was Poop on the wall in our washroom - It filthy and stained! Getting wash clothes is impossible you have to ask for them and lucky if you get them. We asked for towels and if you got 2 you were lucky. Rooms smell musty. We had to call for the mini bar to be refilled a couple times during our stay bc it never happened. I also mentioned we thought there was bed bugs and we were told it was sand bugs. But I have pictures and others agreed it was bed bugs. We had trouble with making food reservations and found out our second room wasn’t even assigned the right room number and the bed sheets were stained when we checked Safe didn’t work in one of our rooms We felt unless you did the timeshare breakfast they didn’t care. Eveyone we talked to at the resort agreed the Japanese restaurant was horrible. I love Japanese food and couldn’t eat it. Making reservations is a nightmare. Adult Pool bar - it not maintained well- Pool side snack shack is not staffed well but just expect birds as it is an open area. Overall Rooms are gross and rundown. Black mold, A/C not great, dirty bedsheets, safe don’t work. Food was not great. Service was ok, but not great. We left after 5 nights and frustrated. We did let funjet operator know and was advised the resort said they did not have complaints from us which is funny! So don’t expect service from this property. I stayed here several years back and so sad it gone so bad. We love PVR but we will go to another resort next time!
