Looking to travel with family? Highly recommended! This is a luxury hotel with a ”boutique” vibe and Excellent service. The breakfast buffet is one of the best in PV (have stayed in Sheraton, Westin). The pool is well-maintained, the kids playroom is awesome (Thank you Bibiana!). The property is very modern, very well maintained, though rooms are a bit small. We stayed at the Marriott in Cancun as well, similar experience. Best budget luxury resort in PV.

Enjoyable all-inclusive resort experience right on the beach. Several pools to choose from with a variety of bars and restaurants throughout Secrets as well as on the Dreams side of the resort. Lots of different types of cuisine for different palettes and dietary needs. None of the food was bad but nothing I had really blew me away either. It was nice not having to make reservations at any of the dining places and the longest we had to wait for a table for 2 was maybe 10 minutes at the fancy Italian place. Marketing staff near the front lobby are pretty pushy about adding on spa/dinner/wine packages and make you sit through a spiel at check-in to try to get you to spend more. Concierge was very helpful with questions about logistics around town and the bellhop/valet staff were all friendly and attentive. Bringing a rental car in and out of the hotel was really easy.

We ended up getting to the property a couple hours before check in but our concierge Franco greeted us at our first step out of our shuttle. His team grabbed our bags as he escorted to the front desk. We had 3 rooms booked and they were able to give us 2 of them adjoining. We had to wait a couple hours to check in but we got our bracelets, a quick tour and sat down for some lunch a few drinks while we waited! Smooth check in process! The service from housekeeping to bartenders to pool servers were all so friendly and fast! The pool food was great for snacking on. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety of choices. Drinks were mostly small unless you asked for a bigger glass, which was never an issue. All 3 of our rooms were pretty clean and housekeeping kept up with everything pretty well! The beach was a great spot for sunsets. Few vendors around but they weren’t too much of a bother. Not much of a swimming style beach due to how rough it was at the time we visited. The lobby bar was a good time in the evening with live music! All in all, we would definitely head back!

My husband and I spent 9/13 nights of our honeymoon as Casa Velas. We chose this hotel because of its great reviews, and it was one of only a few adults only ‘highly rated’ hotels. We had a wonderful time, which, in most didn’t disappoint. Pros The location of this hotel is near the marina, you can walk there within 5 to 10 minutes. The area is very safe, it feels very secure and everyone in and around the hotel was very very very friendly. The staff are by far this hotels biggest and best asset. So friendly, accommodating (within what they can do). Ramon and Ulrise worked non stop all day. The rooms are beautiful and are set within ground surrounded by lush trees, flowers and many iguana’s The cocktails were amazing and are exceptional value under the all inclusive, they would make almost anything, even if this wasn’t on the main menu The pool, reception, entrance, gardens and restaurants are immaculate and are constantly being cleaned and tidied. Also some friendly coy carp and turtles (which you can feed) Room for improvement The menu options are limiting, especially if you are staying longer than 4 days. Whilst the food was delicious, we have had some even more amazing food outside of the resort, a more diverse menu would be great for those staying a little longer. Before you travel be sure to check whether there are any events or weddings on during your stay, this was the largest downside by far. When guests arrived for the wedding/event that lasted about five days, our experience was negatively impacted by having to have buffet options for food… the calm, peaceful ambience was also affected. It very much felt like as soon as the wedding parties arrived, other guests were left to experience someone else’s holiday/vacation. Tipping Maybe it is because we are Europeans, and expected tipping isn’t something that we are used to… but considering this is a high end hotel that included tips, it felt strange to then we having to sign for drinks and food and tipping. Not saying that the staff do not deserve to be rewarded for their hard work, this isn’t in question at all, but it did feel a bit off. Whilst we would 100% recommend this hotel to any friends or family staying. We would make the recommendation of a shorter stay as the menu got very repetitive and there’s so many amazing things to see in at around Puerto Vallarta. Value for money 8/10

We had the best time and the best stay. The bed was so comfortable and we had a hot tub on our balcony! The food and drinks were fantastic and the beach was so relaxing. Miguel at the bar was great and Lucy helped us with everything we needed. I highly recommend!

Stayed at Krystal Grand PV Jan 24 thru Feb 7 / 2025. This review is about the Krystal staff - the most important part of the resort. The staff are great. I want to recognize the following : Eduardo the plumber - helped with toilet issue. Luis / Ernesto / Alexi / Elvira in SeaFire - friendly , helpful and great people. Tall Luis / Daniel / Guillermo / Edgar / Adrian - exceptional meseros and very friendly. Good , honest people. Maurilio / Karen / Lorena in rooftop pool - again , very friendly and looked after us very well. ( bartender and waitresses ) Lastly - Bernardo in security - helped me with Spanish - and a good guy all around. I call all of the people mentioned above friends , and wish them all the best in their work and family lives. My wife Trish and I will miss you , and hope to see you again in the future. We mention these people because they deserve recognition for their work ethic and friendly faces and willing to make our visit fun and very pleasurable. Overall, this all-inclusive hotel can only say that it can be lived together, don't have any too high expectations. Hotel 🏨: The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms and all the facilities can be clearly felt. This aspect is actually not in the way, after all, this kind of thing is inevitable. The facilities can be used only as a sensory problem. The only highlight of this stay is the service. The staff here are very friendly and will not stink. Food: This is not very good. Restaurant hygiene needs to be strengthened because flies 🪰 mosquito visibility is very high (must bring anti-mosquito liquid). The styles of food are similar, and the steaks in French cuisine are exactly the same as those eaten at the steak restaurant the day before. The plate is also the same 🤣. They also ate the same thing when they walked to the restaurant where the question was put. The things taste good but there are not so many tricks. Beach 🏖️: Compared with Cancun, the beach here is not the white beach like Cancun. Puerto Vallarta The beach is darker and has more stones (at least the beach of this hotel is like this) Near the hotel: There are shopping centers for 10 minutes from the hotel seat up or down. There is a milk tea shop with Gongcha nearby. Supermarkets and oxxo convenience stores are also not far from the hotel. The street view is not very tall but the president is still safe. I didn't feel dangerous with my daughter out. Just walking down the street was fine.

The hotel itself is so great! But I think I need a car to go to the hotel. The hotel does operate a car. There is also an airport pick-up service. The height is so great to see the landscape and the facilities are great. It's not cheap, but you can get the service you paid for. The exterior of the hotel also contributes to making you want to go. The rooms are spacious and wonderful. It has a large room that can accommodate 5 or 6 people and it seems to be a very good hotel for families to come and hospice.
