The hotel has a perfect location, a nice pool and a very nice team but a few point were problematics: The biggest one is that the room on the ground floor was super musty, with a horrible smell. It should be fixed, all of my clothes came back with that smell and it is not healthy at all. It is not ok in that kind of hotel. The beds were not confortable and the breakfast was poor. I was pretty disappointed especially that the reviews were very good. For that price, I wished to receive better quality.

First time in Costa Rica and first time in Puerto Viejo! Had a fantastic 9 nite stay at the Olinca. Best beaches, we walked to all from hotel except Manzanillo. A special thanks to Mariela, Damian, Luis, Joshua & Manager, Luis for all the hospitality. Best cleaning crew, they provided extra hangers, asked each day if you required housekeeping and provided extra towels when required. Pool & beach towels are provided which we used everyday. A gem on the Caribbean coast. We will return!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The villa was extremely clean, peaceful, and had a beautiful aesthetic. The staff, especially Oscar, was wonderful. My kids loved the beautiful pool! We loved the location of the hotel--was easy walking distance to many places. We look forward to returning!

The place is fab - Luis & Oscar couldn’t be more helpful & friendly, and can help with any recommendations you need either in PV or further afield (and even offered to help out over the phone after we had left!). The rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean and the air con very effective. The food & drink was great, the pool area relaxing and very clean, the hotel has secure parking and is well located. Don’t hesitate, just book it!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Olinca! We spent 5 nights here in one of the villas. We got to meet and get to know the owner, Debbie, and her family. They were so sweet and helpful. The staff, including Oscar, were great. The hotel is in a great location in Puerto Viejo. It's a great place to stay for a family and we loved spending time at the beautiful pool. I wished we could have stayed longer.

Brief one-night stay at this lovely property. Oscar was great at assisting us and providing us recommendations. The property was well kept, clean, and provided all the necessary amenities and was a nice change of pace from the American chain hotels we had been staying at during our time in Costa Rica. Complimentary breakfast was also included and the gentleman who served us was accommodating and welcoming.

This hotel is wonderful! We arrived on April 26th and checked out the 30th. We were greeted and shown the property as soon as we pulled up. Cristina, Roy, Oscar, and (I forget the other gentleman's name at reception) were very attentive and pleasant with us. Roy even arranged a beach trip to playa uva for us. That was a great time. Daily breakfast and service was exceptional. They were diagnosing pool issues but didn't affect our time as I think we left the day before. They cleaned the rooms daily and provided fresh towels. I recommend this hotel 10 out of 10 times. Area was convenient for beach access, local restaurants, and shopping. We will definitely be returning.

My family and another stayed here in the second week of April and we can't rate Olinca highly enough. A delightful place superbly located not far from the centre of Puerto Viejo, but just offset to be calm and peacful. Great facilities and just what we all needed after a busy week beforehand. The staff need a huge shout out too. We were so well looked after and cared for (thank you Roy, Christina and Oscar) for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always warmly greeted.
