This was a very nice hotel set apart from the other hotels so it is quiet at night. Walking distance to the port and to town. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also tasty and of very good qualify. The only thing to be aware of is the mosquitos. We didn't have any problems on the other islands but had numerous bites on this island so make sure to bring repellent. Some of the rooms didn't have screens so mosquitos at night in the rooms were a problem. I recommend this hotel with that caveat.

We had a fantastic experience staying at The Wooden House Lodge during our visit to Isabela Island. Although we only stayed for one night, the hospitality left a lasting impression. The owner was incredibly helpful and caring, ensuring that all our needs were met and going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The lodge itself is charming, with a cozy atmosphere and all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient for exploring the island, and the staff provided excellent recommendations for activities and dining. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend The Wooden House Lodge to anyone visiting Isabela Island. It’s the perfect place for a comfortable and welcoming experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Wooden House. The rooms were large, comfortable and had good amenities. It is very close to the dock (with great snorkeling right at the dock!) and an easy bike ride or 15 minute walk into the main town. The staff were very nice and the food was wonderful. The entire place was very clean and had a welcoming and comforting atmosphere. If you visit Isabela Island this is a great place to stay!

Oh my god. I ordered the fish and it was not cooked and smelled and tasted rancid. When I told them they said sorry do I WANT TO BUY something else. No Way. Stay away stay away. Hope I do not get sick. Also was suppose to have meal when we got there and we had to wait 50 minutes. Beware would give a negative number if offered

This “hotel” is .4 miles from city center, it is difficult to get a taxi, it is blazing hot to walk into town during the day, and there was construction going on until at least 8 pm. There is no real travel service here so the only way to organize is your o go to town. Rooms have thin walks and you can hear your neighbours. There is a small pool and bar - but it is at the entrance and not appealing. I do have to say the breakfast was ok and that is why they got 1 star. Not a relaxing vacation spot.

The wooden house provides a very nice refuge after all of the exciting Galapagos excursions. It provided a nice breakfast, has a full bar, small swimming pool, laundry, service, a line for drying your own clothes and strong Wi-Fi. The staff was truly lovely and extremely helpful. they called us taxis whenever we needed one, let us use their dryer. The downsides that we noticed were that the room was a little bit small, and the location of the hotel is close to the dock and walking distance to town but not the most central. There were many hotels that were much closer to the beach.

The wooden house is a hidden gem. Family run and very kind, also clear communication which we really appreciated after a few days of miscommunication with our tour company. The rooms are recently renovated and gorgeous. Comfortable beds with cozy linen and beautiful wood structures everywhere. Their daily breakfast is delicious and changes; we had dinner there one evening and it was really good as well with many options. The hotel manager was awesome and helpful while we were there. Walking distance downtown and to many sightseeing spots. It’s about 100m from the marina which is also very convenient. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Wooden House. The room was very comfortable with unique aesthetics. They offer a variety of services, such as laundry, beach towels, snorkeling gear, bar and restaurant. The host gave us multiple recommendations of things to do on the island and thanks to him we got to experience the highlands with the locals.
