A wonderful location! The hotel is simple, clean, and quite unique as it represents a gone by era '50 and '60. I hope they retain and make it even better more authentic to those bygone times. The view from the balcony is stunning. The breakfast and dinner were very, very good. The NP Brijuni is magic!

I was enchanted by the retro vibe of the room, which, while in need of renovation, exuded a unique charm. If you appreciate a touch of nostalgia and are willing to embrace a retro aesthetic, this room will transport you to a different era, allowing for a truly immersive experience. While it may not be suitable for those who rely heavily on technology, the absence of Wi-Fi, TV, and limited electrical outlets allowed us to enjoy fully in the serene surrounding. If you appreciate the charm of traditional hospitality and seek a dining experience that harkens back to a more refined era, old school waiters at Hotel Neptun will impress you with their exemplary service. Brijuni is a true paradise, offering an unforgettable experience.

The structure has a vintage decor, let's say 60s, but it has its charm, everything is still very clean. There is no mini bar and air conditioning, but they provided us with 2 nice fans and it was enough: The terrace overlooking the sea is amazing, very relaxing and pleasant. Breakfast is served in another structure but everything is very comfortable. If you are not looking for a modern hotel I recommend it without a doubt, welcoming staff especially Mr. ANTONIO, always very kind and helpful.

Before booking, you should be clear about a few things. The hotel is old, really old. You can see it in almost every detail: the wooden floors, the doors, windows, yellowish closets, and especially the antiquated bathroom. But it's clean, the beds are reasonably modern, and the walls look renovated. Unfortunately, there are no curtains for darkening the rooms or to block out the light in the evening. Check-in and breakfast are at the Hotel Neptun, as the reception and all other public areas in the Karmen were closed. Almost all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a room (No. 334) with a sea view, and the view from the balcony is truly stunning. This view and the overall wonderful feeling on the island make us overlook the hotel's condition. Even in its renovated state, it probably wouldn't be affordable for everyone. We rented bikes for a day and explored the quieter parts of the island. But €27 per day for a standard bike without gears is unacceptable. During the peak travel season, until September 30th, hotel guests receive a 50% discount. However, we don't understand why hotel guests have to pay the full price for the bikes after September 30th. Despite a few criticisms, we will definitely be back.

Unacceptable quality/price. Very old. Thin walls, you can hear everything. Dust. Floor not clean. Uncomfortable bed. Furniture, walls, paint, etc. from the 70s… I have to say that at least there is no mold, I am allergic and I confirm that there is not! I would smell it immediately. This is room karmel/karmen, what it is, and the same “manager” as the neptune. The neptune has slightly thicker walls and even the rooms behind, so not with a sea view, have a balcony, so not much better. But we are there… they are 70s hotels that need to be completely modernized! This one instead only has rooms with a sea view and a balcony. The neptune however has carpet (from the 70s, I think, never changed or almost never…) so be careful for those who are allergic to dust. There is no air conditioning. No comfort… so they are hotels suitable for those who really do not expect anything. Breakfast is included with both hotels (room karmel and neptune), and is done at the neptune. Both reception and breakfast are all done at Neptune. Things that may interest you: Basically if you book one of these hotels you also have a sort of discounted parking there in Fazana. You pay for the parking at Neptune. So you leave your car in this partner hotel in Fazana and go take the ferry in Fazana. The ferry is free for those who book the hotels but you still have to pick up a sort of ticket that is 100 meters from where you take the ferry. So you park, walk 500 meters (they offer trolleys for those with lots of luggage that you can take on the ferry and then also on the island so from the car to the ferry to the hotel you can have a trolley) and go towards the port, you pass by this micro agency 100 meters from the ferry, you show the hotel reservation and you pick up your free ticket. More to know. On the island you can get around; On foot By bike Or by renting their electric vehicles which are electric scooters or golf carts. The golf cart costs 50/70€ per hour, or 200/250€ per day, for 2 people.. the electric scooter is more affordable, it will be around 100/120€ all day, I don't remember exactly. So I recommend either a bike or a scooter. They tell you that to find things (car and scooter) you have to go at 8 in the morning because otherwise you risk not finding them available. It's true but in that case I recommend the bike, the island is not huge.. so anyway, given the price, the hotels could definitely use a makeover. Then. For those who are at the Neptune you can request half board and have dinner there with them for 18€. Dinner closes at about 22/21.30 so you have to go to dinner early. Honestly I don't remember the time! But find out because they eat early. Maybe you can also request it at the Karmel I don't know.. breakfast is not bad but in any case you have to go early because from 9.30 onwards you find little.
