"The resort is good as per redang island stay, free shuttle to the jetty which is 5 min away. Not much options in breakfast. Ala carte menu is better
There is a hidden staircase to go the beach downstairs which is a small rocky beach"
"I took my family here during the April spring break in Chengdu. The private beach is truly beautiful, a typical 'jellyfish sea' with crystal clear water. Just a few hundred meters from the shore, you'll find a turtle spot – you can even paddle there yourself. There were so many turtles! When someone was feeding them, we saw nearly ten at once. The hotel also offers a lot of entertainment, most of which is free, including tennis and pickleball.
There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, in the restaurant, and even for the turtle explanations, so communication in Chinese was not an issue. The head chef and the turtle researcher are both of Chinese descent; we often chatted with them, and sometimes they even helped us with translations.
The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful, let me tell you about two things. First, while my wife was swimming in Turtle Bay, the lanyard of her waterproof phone pouch broke. The water was probably almost 10 meters deep. She only realized it after returning to shore, and her mood just plummeted. When the staff at the dive center found out, they immediately contacted a diver to search for it. Luckily, they found it, and the phone was perfectly fine and usable inside the pouch – she was absolutely thrilled.
The other thing is, our return journey was very early, we had to leave at 6 AM. The front desk thoughtfully and proactively packed us a generous breakfast to take with us for the road."
"We had an unexpectedly beautiful 4D3N stay at Redang Divers Resort. Initially hesitant due to the 3.2 rating, we booked as it was the only available option, but it turned out to be the best decision. From the warm yet respectful service by Wei to meeting the humble owners Adrian and his wife, everything felt genuine and comfortable. The food was outstanding (we truly miss the food!) honestly among the best we had in Redang. The beachfront view was amazing, white sand and turquoise sea right in front of our room. Simple, raw island vibes, clean rooms, and a truly heartfelt experience for our family.
A small note: the toilet flooring could use an upgrade, but we understand refurbishment is already underway with the new management. Not a “luxury” resort, but definitely 5-star in heart, service, and overall experience. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making us feel at home!"
"I had high expectations for an RM600+ per night stay. While the food and seaview were superb, the overall experience wasn't worth the price. The service was disappointing; I asked for help with the TV (which was set to Chinese), but no one ever showed up. Later, I requested a buggy for checkout, but after waiting over 20 minutes, we had to walk to the lobby with our luggage to avoid missing our boat. Given the resort isn't even that large, the delay was inexcusable. In my opinion, it’s not worth the money."
"Fantastic resort , suitable for couples, family and friends. Many activities to do during day time. Staff are well trained and so much respectful and helpful. Staff for activities are expert in their jobs (big thanks to hero ake, he took us in jungle trekking and it was great tour. Resort is well organized, almost everything is there. If I want to talk about pros i will never finish.
Cons: really hard to spot the sunset from the resort.
Buffet is medium although so many different dishes.
Some activities accept only credit/debit cards while others always accept cash or put it under the your room.
Check out is lil early (11 AM)"
"So happy to have spent my time on Redang Island at De’Rimba. Thank you to the wonderful staff who are the friendliest people i appreciate everything they have done to make my time here the best i could have imagined!
My room was one of the top huts which had a comfortable queen size bed, TV, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was a bit smaller than what i was expecting in that i thought there would be more room to shower in, but it was fine by me as i was able to use it with no problem. The hut has a balcony which is nice to sit in and chill after coming back from the beach.
The food was so tasty and i was so relieved that they accept card payments because i forgot to take out money from the ATM before going to the island.
100% coming back to stay at De’Rimba in my next trip to Redang :)"
"I checked it online for a long time before I came, and there were many bad reviews for hotels on Relang Island. I picked this Bay and booked it. The first day of the experience was really good! The front desk and restaurant have service staff to explain the precautions carefully in Chinese. Although the facilities are simple, the 4-piece set with your own, the mattress and pillows are very comfortable. 4 meals a day, 2 snorkelings a day, someone leads the team, beer barbecue on the beach at night, the sea breeze, just a full empty vacation mode without a head!"
