Punta Gorda Hotels with Pools

I have been to Punta Gorda 5 previous times but wanted to keep the cost down....... I stayed at the Punta Gorda Waterfront hotel in December 2021...... I paid $107, which is not a lot. I got a standard room that overlooked the parking lot. The check in front desk clerk was friendly.... The wi-fi worked well.... The room was clean but could have used a face lift: the carpet was old and the walls needed a coat of paint as there were chips from various wall work. The bath tub faucet seemed like it was going to come out of the wall but it worked...... I got too towels but needed a third towel in the morning and housekeeping would not give it to me. I asked the front desk in the morning if I could have a towel and they said that they did not have any. I asked for an extra 1 hour past the 11:00 am checkout and they said no. The location is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the river walk. Just walk out the door and you will be there. From there you can walk to Fisherman’s Village or the marina. You are also close to the restaurants in the historic district. Given my experience I will not stay there again but will pay more for their nearby competitors, who also offer a great location but a better quality hotel.
