Bungalows Punta Uva Inn

Excellent service in the entire hotel. Very comfortable and clean suites. The food is very good, the restaurant is open from 7 am to 9:40 pm. I definitely recommend this place for couples and families. The pool area is very welcoming, and the beach is within walking distance.

Unfortunately, we left this hotel with a bad taste in our mouths due to a very unpleasant incident. On our first day, we left our money in the bungalow while we went to the beach for an hour. Later that evening, we realized that €300 and $150 USD were missing. We did not put the money in the safe because we did not know that it was key-operated rather than a digital code safe. Interestingly, while the bungalow door had a keypad lock (which would have allowed tracking of entries and exits), the hotel still uses a key system, which is much less secure. We reported the issue to the reception, and they checked the security cameras. However, the cameras do not fully cover the entrance area, so they were unable to provide any definitive answers. We travel frequently and have never experienced theft, even when we did not always use a safe. This situation left us feeling extremely uncomfortable. Positives: • The bungalow was spacious and comfortable. • The restaurant staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. • The pool was large and well-maintained. • The washing machine and dryer worked well. Additional Negatives: • We stayed in the Toucan bungalow, which is the very last one, directly next to the main road and the machine room. As a result, it was extremely noisy. While there were some positive aspects of our stay, the security concerns and lack of resolution regarding the missing money completely overshadowed them. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety and peace of mind.

Pros: Reasonably priced, beachfront (but no beach view), pool and 2 hot tubs, comfortable beds, private outdoor sitting area. Cons: Hard to explain exactly, lack of detail attention to important things??? There’s an effort to be technologically advanced ie digital lighting, cooling systems etc. ok great but I don’t care if my bathroom mirror has 3 digital lighting settings. What I do care about is having shampoo and enough toilet paper which we did not. Staff didn’t clean the coffee pot in our room and I noticed that our drink glasses from the night before were still sitting in the pool area. More attention to detail is needed otherwise voluntary cleanup crews will take over 🪳. For the record, I did not see any roaches at this establishment.
