We had a very pleasant stay. The family room has a full size futon which was perfect for our two children. The balcony has a great view and the room was large. We enjoyed our walks to the beach and Pool area. There are also family bicycles for rent. Right in front of the hotel there is a petting zoo and playground area. The indoor playground in the 6th floor is fun too but I didn’t find the top of the castle to be safe enough for the children. Also, the rooms have a washing machine which was very convenient.

Rooms are spacious, breakfast is minimal (even for a Chinese breakfast). No coffee with breakfast, or croissant’s. You have to walk to the swimming pool. Pictures looked like it was at the hotel, it is not and you have Tom pay 50RMB each. Location is 10min from beach. Wouldn’t stay here again. Staff made my children feel
Uncomfortable as they kept giggling that we were speaking English.

It's cheap to visit Beidaihe in winter, but there are few services around, breakfast has to be eaten outside, and the children's playground is not open.
There are few guests and it's relatively quiet.
I will stay here again if I have the chance.
