We very much enjoyed our stay . Staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. Very convenient location, a stone throw away from the beach. A mall is about 10 minutes away in a taxi. The only aspect we feel needs to improve is the breakfast. The menu was always the same which made a longer stay experience a bit boring, not always looking forward to dining. Perhaps changing a few items in the menu every morning will make that exceptional experience. Otherwise, an amazing hotel-keep it up!

Convenient Location, directly above a large shopping mall with a good variety of shopping and food & beverage options. The hotel and mall are directly linked through the 4th floor, though it is closed outside of the mall operating hours. Room was clean and toiletries were nice! Overall a nice and comfortable stay.

Always choose this hotel when I'm in Qinhuangdao. Clean and modern furnished rooms. Professional and very pleasant staff and always get an upgrade of my booked room. I feel like they value their guests. Thank you

”I came to Qinhuangdao to see the sea with my roommates and chose James Joyce Coffetel Yanshan University! The location is super convenient, 10 minutes walk from Yanshan University, and the taxi to Jinmeng Bay is only the starting price! The hotel is decorated in a retro cafe style, and the lobby is suitable for taking photos and posting on WeChat Moments~ The room is clean and quiet, and the mattress is just the right softness. Breakfast has freshly cooked noodles and Western bread, and coffee is free all day! The parking lot is large, so students who drive themselves don't have to worry about parking spaces. It's less than half an hour's drive to Dove Nest Park and Tiger Stone Marine Park. The king of cost-effectiveness!”

A true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

Booked two days from Ctrip.com. When we checked in at less than five in the afternoon, the elevator was under maintenance. We climbed the stairs to the fourth floor. We thought the environment was OK, the sanitary conditions were OK, and the facilities were relatively new, so we didn't mind staying there. Then we went out with the children and went back at about 9:40 in the evening. Because we were tired after running outside all day, we were ready to wash and rest. As a result, the water flowing out of the faucet was red and yellow, mixed with mud. I called the front desk twice before a young man came and said he would deal with it immediately. I kept draining the water from the room, but the water quality didn't change. I called the front desk again and they replied that they would change our room to the front floor. After that, no one paid attention to us anymore. I felt that the service of this hotel was average, the breakfast was average, and there were not many varieties. In short, I felt that it was not worth the high price. The first picture attached is the water quality at the beginning, and the next one is half an hour after draining the water.

The front desk staff member was incredibly sweet and pleasant, offering very warm and attentive service. In the afternoon, our child wanted some of the breakfast pancakes. This act of kindness deeply touched our entire family! The hotel's cleanliness, needless to say, was outstanding! The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was very convenient to use. Behind the hotel, there's a large supermarket, making it incredibly convenient to pick up anything we needed. Choosing to stay at the University Town Mercure Hotel in Haigang District this time was definitely the right call. Getting a taxi to go anywhere was super convenient, and it even felt like tourists had priority! A big thumbs up to Qinhuangdao's cultural and tourism department! When traveling as a family, safety and comfort are paramount. We originally considered a guesthouse, but after weighing all factors, especially with a child, a hotel was definitely the better choice. Next time we visit Qinhuangdao, we will certainly head straight for Mercure again!

The location of the hotel is still very satisfactory. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Maoye Tiandi and walk to Qinhuang Alley in 30 minutes. There is Xicheng BBQ opposite where you can eat. It tastes good. It is close to the police station and is safe. We went south to Pigeon Nest Repulse Bay Wildlife Park Aquarium and Sea Sky. Isshiki and other scenic spots are basically 30-40 minutes away by car, and the slightly farther Laolongtou is also only 50 minutes away. Mainly because of the convenience of eating nearby. The shortcoming is that the hotel should be renovated and renovated. The taste in the lobby is relatively large. The hotel is currently being reorganized. There is no one at the moment, but you can order it. Takeaways are delivered directly to the room. The bathroom hardware facilities need to be improved. The countertops and walls need to be cleaned.
