Its location is superb, ideally situated near Kaiyuan Temple and West Street, with an abundance of fantastic eateries nearby. Despite the lively surroundings, the hotel itself offers a tranquil retreat; once you step through its doors, you'll find absolute peace and quiet.
The hotel's attention to detail is impressive. For instance, on hot days, the lobby thoughtfully provides complimentary purified water and handcarts for guests to help themselves. We especially loved the hotel's custom-made incense, which had an incredibly soothing aroma.
They even provide guests with a fantastic 'eat & explore' guide, packed with useful tips and recommendations. We followed their suggestions for dining, and every single meal was delicious!
Our suite featured incredibly comfortable bedding. The bathroom design was a major highlight, offering a very generous space, making bath time incredibly relaxing, and even included a dedicated makeup area – we were thoroughly pleased.
The service was also incredibly responsive to all our requests, with quick responses and detailed transportation guidance.
And I must mention the hotel's unbeatable rooftop view, offering clear sight of Kaiyuan Temple's East and West Pagodas – a truly spectacular panorama. In the evenings, you can enjoy movies, cocktails, and moon-gazing on the rooftop, which makes for a truly comfortable and special experience!

EE1029****The hotel is right on West Street, and the lobby is stylish and comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The complimentary afternoon tea was freshly made; we arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, so it served perfectly as lunch. The front desk offered free earplugs and bottled water for guests to take, but actually, the room was quite quiet. I especially want to praise the front desk staff. Since the washer-dryer was on the top floor of the building behind ours, he proactively helped us take and retrieve our laundry, which was very thoughtful! Breakfast was plentiful, easily enough for one person. The hotel is just a few steps from Zhongshan Road, making it very convenient to catch a taxi or a small electric cart to tourist attractions. I particularly want to highlight the complimentary flower hairpin experience. The staff at the Zhi Fou Flower Pin store would style the hairpins according to the guest's preferences; it wasn't just a simple headband. Instead, they styled the hair and then inserted the flowerpins one by one, which was a fantastic experience! Overall, the hotel and service were excellent and highly recommended!

They also gave Chinese dessert for 2 nights, which we enjoyed and appreciated a lot. A shout out to the front desk 志强, who recommended some good eats around Shishi.

GGuest UserThe receptionists were very friendly and helpful. One of the lady offered us a plastic spoon to open our passion fruits as without which we would have to use our fingers to pierce open the fruits. We bought almost 1 kgs to consume. We were almost greeted when we met them any time of the day & it makes our holiday a pleasant one. They even gave us free gifts upon checkout - what a pleasant surprise!
The location is very convenient with plenty of food choices. We particularly were very pleased with a foot cum shoulders massage @Jinzhu Tang which is near this hotel. Should have extended another day here! Do visit Qingyuan mountain, it’s really refreshing and calm environment!!

红红月I spent 6 nights at 2208. It had been saved on my Trip.com for many months before my summer holiday, so I was happy that they had availability for the week I planned to visit.
In order of importance for me as a solo (foreign female) traveler are: location, safety, and helpfulness of staff.
1. Location: I think the location is perfect. It’s on a small alley behind West Street and directly across from Kaiyuan Temple’s west gate. This area is very central and convenient.
2. Safety: Overall, the city is safe, but in reality it is nearby a main tourist destination, so to prevent non-guests from entering there is a gate with keypad access for late night. There was always staff inside at other times.
3. Helpfulness of staff: There were some language barriers due to my lack of fluency, but the staff tried to help as much as possible to make sure I was comfortable. If there was a problem it was resolved quickly and if I didn’t understand, they were patient and tried to explain it another way.
Other than these things, I’ll say there are actually two 2208 buildings in the same area. One has a view of Kaiyuan Temple from some rooms and from the rooftop; the other seems more modern but without this view. There is cleaning service available if you need it and free water bottles daily.
If you are looking for amenities such as a television or breakfast, maybe this is not a suitable option, but if you want a place to sleep nearby the best sites in Quanzhou, and have friendly staff greet you each day, then it’s a good choice.

GGuest UserFrom my experience at 4 different accommodations in the Jinjiang/Quanzhou area, I have come to learn that the cleanliness (or rather, lack thereof) at this hotel is typical of this area at this price range. So I don’t want to make it sound worse than it deserves.
That said, the first thing I saw when I entered the room was a gross-looking tangle of hair on the floor. I sent a WeChat message to the person managing it, and to their credit they were very apologetic and sent someone to clean it up, which they did (I was gone at the time). When I got back, though, I was disappointed that although that particular tangle of hair had been cleaned up, the rest of the floor still had visible dust and who-knows-what on it. I ended up seeing a broom and dustpan in the hallway against another door, and I decided to briefly borrow it and quickly sweep my own floor so I didn’t have to feel like it was gross. After that it was ok.
Also, there was a sort of dank, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which I believe is from the drain. The toilet is the kind that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down (instead put it in the bin next to the toilet), so it’s also possible the smell was the result of that system after the previous occupant’s stay. There is a water problem in the bathroom such that when you take a shower, water ends up sitting in a kind of puddle on the floor near the sink, so it’s hard for the bathroom to ever be entirely dry, which no doubt also adds to the difficulty of keeping the bathroom smelling fresh.
The room itself was big and included a washing machine, which was very helpful! There was a little kitchen area and a kettle and such. Water bottles were supplied every day. The bed was comfortable and clean.
There was a sofa and a coffee table, and another sort of recliner seat near the window. Unfortunately the coffee table looked dirty (some sort of sticky residue on it) from the last occupant, so I didn’t want to put anything on it.
The location is right next to the Jinjiang airport, which is of course convenient for arriving or departing by plane. Checkin was done via WeChat - I just told them I had arrived, and they sent me a code for the door. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived, but I can’t say for sure that no one is ever there. Possibly if I had waited longer someone would have come, I don’t know.
For all the negative comments I had above, I want to repeat what I stated at the beginning - this level of cleanliness is apparently fairly normal for this price range in this area. I still think more effort could and should be put into making it a cleaner and more inviting space for customers, and things like the standing water problem in the bathroom should be fixed to prevent mold growth and such, but it’s also possible I just need to suck it up and spend more money on a better hotel room if I feel that my standard of cleanliness is so important.

The service attitude was very good, and he answered all questions enthusiastically. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the room was spacious, comfortable and breathable. The room facilities need to be improved, such as refrigerators and cabinets, etc., and I look forward to better.

This homestay can grab Didi anytime.The shop Opposite hotel is 老字号马蹄酥&黄衍明口腔科 as later i will put picture for ur reference. Then u follow the signboard go in the alley then can find the homestay. The owner of this homestay is super helpful and friendly. As my luggage damage in airport, owner help me to get a new luggage online and get it just within a day. The homestay even provide us disposable towel ,face towel , tooth brush and tooth paste everyday. And no need worry about shampoo and body shampoo too. Hassle free and can bring less item if u stay in this homestay. The hotel location is great to grab breakfast and supper too. Some within walking distance restaurant I will put in photo. And 小白车u can take from this homestay to many travel attraction just rmb 2. All in all, this homestay is good value for money and i would like say thank you to the owner of this homestay for the pleasant stay during my trip. Definitely we will come back again Quanzhou just want stay in Lanxin courtyard only.
