3-Star Hotels in Queenstown

LyLo Queenstown locates at good location! There are many famous restaurants nearby there. You just take around 5 mins to go to Ferg family by walking. I think the kitchen is quite small because have users a lot but everything is clean, also bathroom.

The up side: Location is very handy for town. Bed was comfortable. Reception staff very efficient and pleasant. The down sides: A very dated and impersonal bleak hallway to get to our room. Threadbare carpeting. Carpeting in our room very thin and rucked in areas. Bathroom very dated - wooden trim surround between bath and walls. Chipped bathroom door and rusting/chipped bath and sink. Scalding hot shower with temperamental tap/temperature gauge. Spluttering gushing water pouring out of the 'shower' like a big tap/water hydrant rather than a shower. Very unpleasant and felt quite dangerous. The bathroom sink was very low and I am just over 5ft tall and had to lean over. The toilet didn't flush very well. I was going to make a cup of tea before we left however the milk carton in the fridge was half full and had been snipped open and used. I therefore did not make a drink! I have emailed the general manager at the property but have had no response. I don't recommend this as a place to stay. I have stayed several times in the Scenic Suites part of this property without any hitches. I have lived locally for over ten years however wouldn't stay here again. This was a treat for my daughter and I and I feel very disappointed as the money spent on the room does not refect the quality and value received. Very pricey for what is on offer.

Fantastic location - just a 5 minute walk into town! We had the 1 bedroom apartment, which was spacious, tidy and clean. We really liked having our own private balcony as well. Great value for money. It was nice not having to bring our own towels or bedding. Dave on reception was very friendly and helpful. We also didn't have any trouble with noise. We would definitely stay here again.

Expected to be here for a week or two while I found a place but have stayed a month now and might just loge here over winter! The staff are lovely and are always available to help out or hang out, the facilities are decent and reliable (mostly), the people who live here long term - and the people dropping in for a weekend - hang out in the social areas and play board games/watch netflix by the fire. Beds have curtains and a light/USB/socket which is actually so helpful. Would highly recommend anyone visiting or moving to queenstown to stop over here :)

We stayed here two separete nights. We booked in advance and we were nervous to book the same hostel in case we didn't like it, but fortunately we did and it didn't dissapoint at all. The recepcionist was nice and welcoming to us, everything is clean, it has several kitchens and the common room is like a huge family room with sofa, covers, TV and board games all super cozy which is the perfect enviroment to NOT have a heart attack when you find out that the borders where you are connecting home are all closed and probably you'll have to stay in NZ forever (not a bad thing tho, but I was pretty poor at that point, lol). Anyway, the people is nice, the dorm room has its own bathroom inside which is a massive YES! The lockers are huge plus there are tiny lockers with outlets inside to put your devices (genious). The bunks are hardly bunks because they are pretty solid wood-made so even if your bunkmate moves a lot you won't notice. It has a courtine which is awesome for privacy, its own night light and outlets by your bed. Maybe the only downside is that the parking lot is really (really) tiny, which makes it very difficult to maneuver, specially when you have never driven in the left before, jaja. Other than that, awesome stay, if I ever go back to Queenstown, definetely would stay here again! :)

This place was ok. The other guests that stayed here let me know it was not a good value for the price. Although they do give the place a quick wipe down and vacuum, it's in serious need a deep cleaning and some TLC. Also, every one of the guests in our unit scalded themselves on the water. Luckily, I only scalded my hand, one of the other guests got scalded in the shower. There is only one TV in the main room, so you're stuck watching whatever other guests are watching. I was pretty apalled when my husband went to the front desk to borrow a hair dryer and we had to leave a $50 deposit! The front desk was very helpful and friendly, they suggested some amazing places to eat. Much appreciated.

The motel advised that due to the presence of scaffolding, the view from the windows is obscured. That's a minor problem and not really a problem. What the motel did not make any mention of when both booking and checking in, was the fact that major renovations are taking place. This meant that at one point during my stay I returnwd to my room during the day hoping to relax, but discovered that all tne furniture and my belongings had been moved so that drilling, plastering and painting could be carried out. Had I not requested a new room, they would have expected me to sleep in the room with wet plaster or paint. Furthemore, the electric door lock kept failing, leaving me locked out of my room on multiple occasions. The customer service is awful and the planning of major work when guests are staying is thoughtless. The noise of tools and workers is very disruptive.

Stayed just the one night, nice comfortable room and bed, clean tidy, all the usual things from at Rydges. Good view from the room and the bar and restaurant on the upper level. A very short distance to the centre of town for more restaurants, bars etc. Check in was efficient and friendly, as was check out. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment, but still a nice clean comfortable stay. Bazaar and Reds bar very good, and food was great. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Reavers. We had a loft room - all I suggest is watch your head on the ceiling. The room was quite quirky with a ladder type staircase up to the double bed. We loved it but might be hard if you are drunk or aged or have mobility issues. Small kitchenette including cutlery, mugs, bowls, plates, small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster pots and hot plates (1 side was working) was everything we needed to cook for ourselves and not pay big dollars to eat out. Reasonable walk into town to local 4Square to buy groceries. No way to get luggage to room except to drag it up staircases but worth it for the view on the second floor. Complimentary breakfast was cereal and toast and coffee - just perfect for Aussie travellers.

Very good location! In the town, eating and shopping are very convenient! It is also very close to the port. If you take a steamboat, you will get to the ticket exchange location in 2 minutes. Feel free to go to the lake to sit and sit... The facilities are old, but the room is big enough! Kitchen utensils are very complete The only dissatisfaction is that the water pressure is too small! The two bathrooms can't take a bath at the same time. Even if you wash your hands outside, the water in the bath will start to drop... there is no way to wash!
