Convenient Madina location with easy parking. Kind owner provides excellent service. Spacious, comfortable rooms, but some lack air conditioning. Rich, authentic Moroccan breakfast.

Want to experience Moroccan life just above the market place in the thick of Rabat Medina to feel hear and smell something unique come to Riad Jbara. Love the Moroccan decor the impressive high ceilings and hanging drapes, colourful windows, mezzanine floor addition, lighting and most importantly the hospitality of this family run home with a centre courtyard so exquisitely decorated in rustic Moroccan way. Breakfast very rich and original served by the matriarch and her daughters. Spacious Rooms and very clean. Would highly recommend this raid.

The owner was wonderful and very helpful. We were only there one night but he made great food suggestions. He gave us excellent directions. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A little hard to find and lots of stairs. I would stay there again.

Nice riad and friendly personnel. They helped with some extra services and the communication was very good – quick and precise. The riad is nice, clean and has everything needed for normal travelers. I recommend.

I stayed mid August with my family. It's not as easy to find but the owner came and met us. However seeing that other riads we had stayed in Morocco before arriving in Rabat, helped us with a luggage or two, we weren't offered any help and were partly guided by motorcycle which we didn't appreciate. First impressions count! We were given the large room on the ground floor as advertised and booked but in reality the platform above the bed where you can climb a ladder to get to isn't ideal. It was quiet on the floor so therefore was fine. We didn't realise it didn't have air conditioning like all the other hotels we had stayed in so far and this disappointed us. The fans weren't as effective for a stay in mid August. Although I wanted to stay in the Medina, I didn't really like the location, I think it's perhaps because I'm not keen on Rabat's Medina. The positives - the shower provided hot water (something that can be a problem in other Moroccan riads I have stayed in) and with complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was lovely and this time I felt the owner was helpful and kindly offered anything more we wished to eat. He was interesting to talk with as we had finished our sight seeing early due to 3 of places I wanted to visit were closed because of Covid (???!!!) - the Mausoleum, Hassan Tower and The Chellah. The location of the riad meant we were close to the Kasbah and the beach.

In the medina in Rabat. Classic riad, very nice (our room a little less, but nothing terrible), all in all we spent a good night. Very good breakfast served in the morning, the owner very kind and helpful.

Very average quality of rooms for the price compared to other riads! I discuss a taxi rate (Riad airport to end our stay), he writes it down to me in black and white and we then ask for another higher price! Geographical location blah blah because very noisy place! No advice for discovering the area, communication almost non-existent! Riad to avoid

It does not correspond to what was described, it does not accept credit cards with the excuse that the POS does not work. The rooms are really worn out, they do not make the beds and do not change the towels, only on request and for an extra fee, they do not provide hair dryers and the traditional soaps and shampoos that they provide everywhere in the world, there is no air conditioning and the WiFi does not work well, my room does not even have a window. The shower has no tray and floods the entire bathroom, including the toilet. The electrical system is outside of any plausible safety standard, without sockets only a triple that connects everything, without space to charge cell phones. The access door does not close properly. In the upper rooms, they put two separate beds attached to the sink in a kitchen. With a strong smell of cats. The only positive note is the breakfast, traditional and abundant. It is not clear if they are just backwards or if they are pretending. The country is running fast towards the future, they remain as Morocco was many, many years ago, theirs is not a real Riad, but an old family home renovated by themselves with recycled material, maybe some are fascinated by it. I think that most of the reviews are not original. Seen on other sites they are always the same positive ones with the same people and photos. The presentation photos are very well done but the reality is very different. They are not professionals, very improvised and malicious. They do not want to, but this is what we have experienced. I have been frequenting Morocco for forty years..

Jbara, the owner, was very kind and always available for any need. As soon as we arrived he offered us a tea, prepared by one of his daughters, and he hand-drew a map of the city and the itinerary that he thought we should do to best tour Rabat. The structure is very beautiful with a huge terrace where you can relax, read, have a tea or chat inside two structures with sofas, armchairs and beds. Spacious room with double bed and mezzanine with two more singles, it was a bit hot as there is no air conditioning but there is a fan if necessary. Definitely recommended!
