Reni Pani Jungle Lodge Satpura

We were at Reni Pani Jungle Lodge for a brief stay (two nights, three days) in January. Since this was a last minute trip we were lucky to get accommodation and also safaris. From the moment you arrive at the resort you are made to feel welcome and special. Erwin, the property manager who is also a trained naturalist welcomes you and acquaints you with the resort and the activities during your your stay. The property is located in the territorial reserve forest and so one gets the feeling of actually living in the forest which is lovely. The fact that they are at the edge of the forest is reinforced when one of the staff escort you to your dinner or to your safari, especially when it is dark. The cottages are large and roomy and very well maintained. There is a comfortable porch where you can simply sit and doze if you like. The entire resort personifies generosity and warmth. The food is excellent with a variety of options. Credit goes to all the staff but specially Sherna who takes a personal interest in all the guests to see that they are comfortable and have everything they need. The service is of course impeccable. The best part is that one gets a dedicated naturalist who accompanies you on all the safaris and boat rides. We had Huzaifa, a young naturalist passionate about nature and wildlife. His deep interest is obvious as he tells you about the forest and its secrets like the Jhinjhini mahal or the painted caves. He is equally knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. We were very fortunate to have Erwin accompany us on our first safari. He is a storehouse of knowledge. A warm and wonderful host who has a deep knowledge of the forest and gets you engaged with everything about the forest during the safari. We were indeed lucky to have him with us on the safari. The high point of the safari is the bush breakfast. In their signature style, the resort send a lovely breakfast which one devours as one starts out early in the morning. Our stay at Reni Pani was magical. Everything one could ask for. The fabulous jungle and the wild life experience and then to get back to this beautiful resort which takes care of your comfort without in any way being intrusive. Would really love to go back there.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this Reni Pani team is dedicated to creating an extraordinary experience. The boat crossing over the reservoir set the tone. Sharna is amazingly patient and graciously accompanied us and Ram added colour on the flora and fauna. The 'bush dinner' to celebrate a special moment in our family was extraordinary. The wildlife sojourns were mesmerizing especially with the knowledgeable and wise duo of Siddharth and Franklin. The expertise and passion of these two made each safari memorable, allowing us to witness a rich biodiversity of the area. A special mention to Chef Nitesh and Shubham for their exceptional service and delicious meals. Every meal was a delight, prepared with care and attention to detail. Gratitude also to the housekeeping and back of the house staff who ferried us to our rooms after dark and woke us up at 5 am to go to the safari. Additionally, we want to acknowledge Erwin D'Rose for his knowledge and care. Well done and thank you for running a wonderful operation and making the visit really special Erwin. The level of service truly exceeded our expectations, and we felt like valued guests at all times.

What a great lodge! We had the most amazing time at Reni Pani. Our cottage was lovely, overlooking jungle and a (currently dry) riverbed. The room was cleaned and amenities replenished frequently and the hot water bottle for those cold evenings welcome. The food at the lodge and the on safari was excellent. The safaris with Irwin and boat safari with Sadat were amazing. We saw and experienced so much!
