Mansala Safari House

We booked the Mansala house for their safari tour and we didn’t get disappointed. The guide picked us up the next morning with the jeep and we had an amazing time in Udawalawa park. The family of the Mansala house helped us also arrive to our next destination. Very friendly and helpful organization, beautiful surroundings.

A superb experience, with care and attention from the hosts and great communication. They were able to arrange our safari and visit to Transit Elephant Centre easily and to our timings. The room was large and easily accommodated the three of us. Breakfast was freshly cooked with juice, fruit, eggs and pancakes. There were eateries close by to, we enjoyed VibeX a couple of times. A warm and friendly experience.

Deserves all 5 star 🌟 rating, totally amazing place, loved every minute of pur stay, only wish we had booked longer. From the moment we pulled up to the lodge and were welcomed with a handshake and a great smile from Tiron. The place really does look like a Safari Lodge , standing as it is in the Jungle. We were given a huge room with 2 king sized beds - air conditioning- tea & coffee making facilities - large bathroom, we even had a private terrace & balcony with tables & chairs. Woke early and had cup of tea on the terrace. Beautifully quiet and peaceful with only birdsong to be heard , and a squirrel scampering around on the roof. Absolutely stunning place. Tiron the manager/ proprietor arranged a safari trip for us. It was faultless, picked up at hotel on time by one of the hotel’s own vehicles. Very comfortable and we had it to ourselves. Friendly and knowledgeable driver / guide. We had a fabulous evening meal at the Lodge , home cooked Sri Lankan food served buffet style. Large variety of menu items all freshly cooked and hot .Absolutely delicious. The breakfast that was included and was also extremely good. Plenty to choose from - lovely Ceylon Tea . Really enjoyed our stay there. Wonderful value for money- charming hosts and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 nights and had an excellent experience. The room was spacious, clean with a very good sized. Overhead balcony giving views onto the front gardens. It was very quiet on a nighttime and we had good sleeps here. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meals, the host is an excellent cook. We went on a safari booked via our host. Our jeep and driver were excellent and would thoroughly recommend the whole experience. Our host provided us with bottles of water and a pair of binoculars . The wildlife was good to view from our balcony, with many green parrots nesting in a tree directly in front of the house. I would recommend this property.

This charming guesthouse is run by the sweetest family. They were so kind and made our stay very memorable. They loved to chat and answer all our curious questions about Sri Lanka! The room was lovely. It was a good size had good air con and a lovely big balcony. The bathroom was large and the water was hot. The free wifi was great as well. The outside grounds were beautiful with so many huge trees and lots of gardens. The breakfast they cooked was the best we have had - so good and so much! The guest house is very close to Udawalawa Safari park making it the perfect choice if you are planning to visit the park.

Our experience in Mansala Safari House was a total delight, we could not ask for more. The house is idilic, really clean and beautiful. The hotel is owned by Tiron and his family, and they make you feel like if you were at home. We had dinner and breakfast there, and everything was homemade and delicious. We arranged the safari around Uda Walawe with them, and it was a magnificent experience. Any request we made to them, they were glad to help us. We would 100% recommend our stay!
