To begin after our experience at Pahalgam the day before 22nd April, we reached the hotel at 2.30 am of 24th April, the lobby was dark power saving mode i presume, the front desk associate was sleeping the guard blatantly told us "it is night time so offcourse he is sleeping". Well then after we wake him up he was clueless about the booking the details were not updated and then above everything he said there is no-one to help us with the luggage and we are supposed to take it ourselves, which on refusal by me was then brought up by someone from housekeeping team who was kind to get the luggage to the room. And, we after sometime handed over our laundry to this person which was supposed to be returned later in the day as was confirmed by the person who collected it. After our visit to Vaishno Devi on 24th when we got back to the room the laundry was still not there. Pretty late in the evening that day we were informed a pure silk sari is torn, here starts the most interesting and dubious ways of the hotel and the house keeping manager's conversation. We immediately challenged the fact that it was the same sari which my mother is seen wearing when we checked-in, they can check the lobby cctv footage (because the lower border is torn as per the hotel, there are several pictures taken through the day before which does not show any tear in the sari (and these were all shown to the Hod HK Ankit as he claims he is). Despite all the facts given when the team was absolutely arrogant and in denial we asked for our laundry to be returned as we were just tried and drained from horrific experiences we were encountering since 22nd April (apart from the darshan at Vaishno Devi). On the 25th before morning before check-out the laundry was brought to the room by Ankit and Akshata, and how; 1. The sari which they did not process as it was torn was in the same bag as the other washed laundry. 2. The tear clearly looked stuck in a pin or something within the machine, and the sari did smell of washing agents and visibly crumpled as would be when it is gone through a wash in a machine tumbler. After countering them with these facts they finally agreed and offered money to take care of the matter, which we refused because of paucity of time and the sari is of great emotional value to us and told him we are not looking at money just get us a similar sari and have it sent to us, to which they agreed and also took down the address. However, since the time we have returned and have been following up with Ankit, he has been elusive some time citing the GM is not available to give approval, then citing the situation which was tense. So we engaged in some follow-ups but his list of excuses kept on adding and the last one as of 7th May was literally as if he was doing a favour showing a pic and saying this is what we have if you want to take, accept it or forget it. We still waited for more than a month that maybe he will come back now that everything is back to normalcy, bu
