An enjoyable break from start to finish. Our room was large, airy and spotlessly clean as were all other areas of the hotel. Beds were comfy and the room well stocked with everything we needed. We had booked bed and breakfast with dinner on one day and afternoon tea on the other. Breakfasts were plentiful with a good variety on offer. Dinner was beautifully cooked and presented and absolutely delicious. Afternoon tea was a real treat too. We enjoyed both meals immensely. Most of all, what made our stay so enjoyable were the team members we met. Everyone from the cleaning team, the reception team and the bar/restaurant team were just lovely; friendly, helpful and welcoming. It was a great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside and we would definitely recommend it.

Booked an afternoon tea that I had bought me for a gift. It was a great experience from when we arrived to when we left. The staff were very attentive and friendly and made the experience great from start to finish. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty and fresh, and the restaurant was clean and elegant, I would definitely recommend.

We met here for lunch only. We weren't staying at the hotel. We received good service and lovely food. We had halloumi fajitas, mushroom fajitas, greek salad and pork belly. We all had very tasty meals but the family member who had the pork belly said it just needed a little more time cooking to reach perfection. Deserts were delicious, cherry bakewell and chocolate brownie tarts. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly welcome. We would come here again.

From meeting out wedding coordinator to saying goodbye the day after our Amazing Wedding Day - everyone involved at the Sitwell Arms were absolutely fantastic and worked so hard to make sure I day was perfect. I definitely recommend this venue for weddings and for general eating, the food and service is wonderful.

Spotlessly clean comfy and well equipped rooms with lots of storage space, friendly and helpful staff and good food. Lovely grounds and easy access from the motorway. What more can you ask for. Would definitely recommend for a chilled weekend away

Rooms were clean and comfortable, shower over bath was adequate but could have done with handrail for safety. Friendly, helpful staff Delicious food, especially the breakfast. The full English set us up for the day Near to Pennine Trail if you fancy a walk

Very nice hotel, rooms large and well equipped. We had breakfast, dinner on one night and a high tea on the following afternoon. All meals were well cooked and presented. Parking at the hotel was easy with plenty of space. All this for a very good price.
