We arrived to a property call the Artistic Bears den which we paid approx $26000 for two weeks and arrived to complete carnage. Building work 360degrees - only one other property was finished on the road. There were workers looking in over the fence, cutting, grinding, concrete works and general noisy machinery and plant from early on ( 6/7am) we reported this and complained from arrival. The treatment by the management company was appalling and I at a point even felt intimidated by their approach. I was told to get the gas for the bbq and fire pits myself from a 7/11, and told there was nothing they could do about the noise, and that it was in fact not classed as disruption. Jeeves tried to pass off my complaints time and again and even said they would refuse to communicate or provide service when I mentioned I may need to take it legal. It was appalling and tuined a very expensive family trip and I’ll likely never return to Florida the feeling it left us all with. That we didn’t matter cause they had our money! Still pursuing compensation, waited months for a response and was offered a very small amount (£1750) but then blanked and they sent the money regardless of us accepting to our travel rep. We refused this and continued to pursue as the holiday was wrecked and the stress and upset of the entire family was worth more. Please ask before you visit if there are any works in the area. We never dreamed on the reunion resort in one of the most modern properties they would be allowing occupancy when the whole street was a fenced off building site! Horrendous all round. Still pursuing but have been told the owners of the company have sold, yet I think this is Jeeves and not Truly American we booked it with and paid. Heads up to any prospective traveller!
