Centrally located, the hotel provides easy access to beaches and attractions. Guests enjoy clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. However, some found the bathrooms to be overly large.

No self service drinks station once the restaurant has closed, no kettles in the rooms, no entertainment day or evening. Although I am a fussy eater never in A/I have I not found something to eat, however I really struggled with the food at this hotel and found we ate out most of the time. Air con is poor. I really think the owners of the hotel need to look into spending money on this hotel to bring it up to a 3 * rated hotel. We would not return

This place is a DIVE It might have been nice 30 years ago but it is completely run down There are peices of the building litterally falling off The food is very poor and for a supposedly 4 star hotel you would expect more Tennis courts covered head to toe in moss The pool is cold and dirty ...the pool area is grimey and sticky where drinks have been spilt and never cleaned The Ants love this hotel plenty for them to drink and eat off the floor This does not have a lushful garden area as advertised my loveholiday it is unkempt and patchy at best The hotel lobby Is drab and dark with a layer of dust on everything you get close to The staff apart from one are rude and obnoxious and believe me if your British your made to feel completely unwelcome Not even a British flag outside probably never forgiven us for Brexit The rooms including the bathroom are adequate certainly not 4 star standard I've stayed in 2 star pensions that are more modern and cleaner plus they are stuffy Air con is not free although it doesn't state this on the brochure and will cost you 6 euros a night to stay cool The all inclusive drinks are awful cheap alcohol served with tasteless (fruit flavoured) mixers which are flat Do yourself a favour spend a bit more money and get something better I stated for 12 nights and didn't look on trip advisor I am a great believer that a holiday is what you make it but seriously guys this place is a hole If you don't get bit to peices from all the Ants then you will most definitely get ill from the food they serve I'm not one for writing reviews but I need to let you guys out there know what a horrible place this is Loveholidays have already refunded me part of the cost I paid so just do me a favour ..Read the description and then delete it from your head What you will get is a million miles away from what is advertised For around £200 more there are several nicer, cleaner and fun hotels in the area Trust me you have been warned if you are considering booking this hotel

We arrived at Marianna Palace Hotel late at night and were instantly greeted by a gentlemen with complimentary snacks. I myself have been to Greece many times and unfortunately this hotel ruined the experience for me. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, which in my opinion and many others, is it not. We paid for all-inclusive but spent 6 out of the 7 nights spent eating out at the lovely Star Bar (around 3 min walk from hotel) due to just the quality of food at the hotel. You have a selection of meat and chips, or pasta. For desert you have the choice of ice cream or some sort of soggy cake. Personally, definitely not up to any sort of previous all-inclusive standards. A lot of the food was also lukewarm and if you weren’t there on time you were likely to get a rubbish meal. Drinks were also insanely sugary, and everything was off brand. There is also little to no entertainment at this hotel. There was 1 night of the week where there was some sort of music night and folk were shouting until midnight, however other than that it was boring, and quiet, and the most interesting thing you could do is sit by the pool. That is, if you get a sun lounger. Every lounger was snatched up by 7am and would have beach towels laying over them - however no people for most of the day. This made trying to genuinely enjoy your time at the hotel near enough impossible. The bar which is open from 11am - Midnight was genuinely really good, and the staff were lovely. Good selection of drinks and very generous sizing for portions. The already very small and inconvenient elevator is a severe safety hazard as the doors do not have a sensor to when somebody is walking through them - and myself and my partner were hit multiple times by the doors. Rooms were cleaned everyday but at a cost. Money had went missing from our rooms which was put near our personal belongings and seemingly out of sight. Cleaners would be up at very early hours of the morning shouting and laughing right outside your room, along with strange bangs heard throughout the week - one which even opened our room door by itself. The WiFi given by the hotel does not work unless you are sat directly in reception. Staff at reception and in general were however very polite, as stated upon welcome we were greeted with complimentary snacks and shown right up to our room. With all mentioned, personally, I wouldn’t be back here. We paid almost £2000 for a week here and as somebody who’s been to Greece several times before, it is simply not worth it. It is a place if you want a roof over your head when staying here - however if you are looking for a resort to stay in with your family, relax and keep the kids entertained, I would steer clear of Marianna Palace.

This was our second time at this hotel and we are booked again for this September 2024. We really like it. Some of the staff recognised us from a couple of years before. Both times we arived at night, the night porter checked us in, he was proffesional and gave us directions to rooms, we did not feel anything else was required. The rooms are good, sure the odd bug but its Greece, your going to get that because of the climate. Rooms are clean and the domestic staff who do this are freindly and work hard. Speaking of which the barman who also works in the dining room works extremely hard as do all the other staff from observation and expereince. The food is decent and whilst the menu does not vary hugely it is good quality and normal for any all inclusive holiday. Regarding the watered down drinks thing. You can definitly tell when spirits are watered down and I have had it with 2 or 3 drinks there only in two trips. I am not concerned about it, whatever happened it was 2- 3 drinks out of all the others lol that were definitly not and i have spent a total of four weeks there over two trips. perhaps a bad supplier batch? i have had it in tenerife too many times, its just something that happens occasionally, it is not some endemic problem at this hotel. Clientel is a mix, German perhaps 60 per cent, hard to quantify, both trips there was plenty of British people. It attracts a few families but more couples and they tend to be mature individuals upper twenties, thirties and upwards. I found everyone to be polite and know how to behave, the hotel does not attract loud teens/twenties etc which is fine with us.I have never felt out of place? Germans love Greece too! Bus services good to Rhodes town, Faliraki not so great, i'd reccomend taxis as bus seervices can be erratic. I encountered a family of Germans being picked up in a small village where the scheduled bus service had clearly not come and theyd been in the sun a bit long, so for rural Rhodes always be aware of this. Returning from Lindos can be busy at end of day, I'd try and prebook a taxi rather than rely on buses from Lindos late afternoon. As i said we are returning to this same hotel for our 3rd visit on Sept15th/ 16th 2024, cant wait, we love it and have good memories there in a lovely peaceful hotel that suits us both down to the ground, ( we are late 40s) and apprecate the quiet and relaxed atmosphere. it is a well run , family run hotel that they take pride in. We return because its excellent and welcoming. Kolymbia is nice and safe for a walk in the evening, we enjoy that though its quite spread out and is a decent enough walk to the high street/central business/shopping district 20-25 mins. Local shops closer by where you can get anything you need including a pharmacy. Going first time, its always a bit of pot luck reading reviews, you get good and bad depending on individual expectations. But as a now regular here i would completely reccomend it, thats why we return!

For the price I paid the hotel was ok, obviously it’s not a 5* hotel so I wasn’t expecting much especially after reading the reviews I was prepared for worst but the hotel is actually Ok. The Location is good for exploring other parts of island and the bus stop is literally one minute away from the hotel which is a plus. I liked the swimming pool area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The design of the rooms is ok. The worst part I think was the food - very small choice and the fruits were not fresh cut. Overall decent hotel for small price :)

Hotel and the rooms are spotless, cleaned everyday. There is a lot of olive trees around the hotel, which makes great shade during warm days. Two pools are also clean and of them is pretty deep so swimming is available. Despite the numerous guests, you never feel crowds. Drinks are the simpler, the better. A huge strength is definetely staff. Waitresses, bartenders, maids are very pleasant people. Receptionists were always helpful, kind and speak multiple languages. Hotel is a little bit far from the beach or city center, but there is a bus station really close to the hotel, from where you can easily get to the most important places. The nicest part was a Greek evening with a great local band that was trying to make all of the guest satisfied and show local dances. The only weakness is food. After a week without significant changes it became really monotonous, however it was for sure safe and fresh. A huge choice of vegatables, fruits and desserts never leave you hungry. It was a great and pleasant stay, we will consider coming back there one day.

Don’t believe the 4* Rating. Even by the somewhat generous European standards, that rating is a bit of a stretch. We had 2 rooms with our 3 children. Both rooms were infested with ants. The air conditioning was exceptionally ineffective. It was like being stood next to and breathed on by an asthmatic person that had just eating a wrigleys menthol chewing gum. I actually found the firm bed comfortable, the wife had back ache. Shower & bathroom were good, if poorly ventilated. The reception & cleaning staff were great, the restaurant & bar staff couldn’t have cracked a smile of their life depended on it. There is no animation, so children or anyone under the age of 75 will get bored, provided you stay longer than 24 hours. This is a hotel that mainly caters to Eastern European & German guests so the mood is somber & a bit miserable. But the worst thing about our stay was the lunch & evening meals. It is remarkably bad.

I don’t write reviews but i saw all the prefious ones believing people only come here to complain but this is an honest opinion. exceptionally clean and maids brilliant. watered down alcohol but friendly bar staff. Food was awful. One line for hot food with options of pasta or either pork, chicken or fish. One tray no English signs to say exactly what it was. Chips for children. Salad table in the middle of the dining room. Slowest toaster in the world. Nice fresh bread though. Pool area has limited umbrellas for shade. Trees available if you wish to not hear your own thoughts over the crickets. General rooms run down but kept pristine. No insects seen but heard from others they had ants. Not many English here but i did not feel they hated us. No flag flying. Because of the food we spent most nights and lunches at the star bar which is a short walk. Cocktails, well priced traditional food, burgers, pasta and even crepes! Would recommend eating there over the restaurant. Also worth noting it’s a €25 taxi to falaraki. €50 to local airport €45 to Rhodes old town which is a must see. Hope this helped :)
