hard to explain the negatives with this hotel as there are so many so I will start with the few positives. the bus each day down to the beach bar is handy to have as the walk down wouldn't be easy for anyone with mobility issues. The pools, whilst freezing are mostly good. The slides are great fun and there are usually enough sun beds for everyone. Breakfast is OK as fresh pancakes and eggs are served. I will get to the food in the main restaurant later. lunch at the poolside bar is usually good, fresh gyros on some days and hand made pizzas all day. why the patrons of the hotel can't re-cover the food after them though is mind-boggling. now the negatives I have read on other reviews that the hotel is spotlessly. Different times must mean different standards. Our room was cleaned once in 12 days. Only when I called reception to ask why our room hadn't been cleaned and towels changed. Our bed linen changed only once in the duration of our stay. The food in the restaurant was no more than average. We could eat it and find something each day but it was so heavily salted that there was hardly any other taste. My main issue with the restaurant is the hygiene. The floors are filthy. There are large flies all over the food. This was every single meal time. My family and I all had bad stomachs during our stay and I heard many other families saying the same things. There is only water you can actually drink in the restaurant. The wine is not wine, I am lost for words in how to describe it. I have attached photographs of the rose which was actually orange. also each evening meal was interrupted by the animation team. They would come to where you was seated, eating your meal and disturb you asking if you would come to their evening show. This I found quite rude as in every other hotel they just stand by the door and ask you. Finally on our last day, whilst we was packing etc, without knocking a man walked into our room, having let himself in as my wife and 10 year old daughter stood naked. He was chased from the room only to have a call from reception 2 minutes later asking for our room key. It wasn't even past the time to leave the room. I went downstairs to checkout and to complain about what happened, however the incredibly rude woman just took my key card, turned her back and walked away. i would never come back to this hotel. Whilst reviews are a personal experience I can only give my own.

We visited this hotel the middle september We landed late at night my husband looked at reviews it said transfer on the coach was anything from 2-3 hours so we got a private transfer which was amazing it only took a hour and it cost €110 we didnt get the transfer back to the airport and it was 2 hours. We are a big family 4 children myself and husband. We got 2 basic rooms which sleeps 3 people in each. The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was that we were at each end of the row we did ask if we could be moved next door are upgraded to family rooms whcih they sadly couldn’t. This didnt spoil it though we were on the ground floor and the kids had a grassed area sorry neighbours The pools are gorgeous 3 pools 1 slide and small kids pool we didnt have to get up early to get a sun beds. Camila at the pool bar serving the drinks she was so happy friendly just a really kind lady( My son Freddie loved her) The food … Breakfast was nice pancakes were a must for my kids and the lady cooking them made them into flowers hearts. Full English, Lunch at the pool which the kids loved fresh pizza cheese, pepperoni ham. Salad chips kerbabs this ran till 1800 Tea was the only time we struggled although there was a good selection. Beach there is a mini bus that takes you to the beach and back maybe 8 seats so the people sharing trips with us sorry we take alot of room up!! Make sure you get some shoes and the beach is wuite stoney. But the guys are friendly and came back and fourth when they knew people were waiting there is food and drinks there to thats part of the all inclusive. Entertainers they were amazing Kids disco every night then a show for the adults and kids i cant remember everyone name But Cosmo my son thought you were amazing so upbeat. I really hope you all get to go on your holiday you all deserve it. The hotel was so clean they clean evey day you can put a card on your beds for fresh linen we were in room 1017 so who ever are cleaner was was lovely too. My daughter had her 4th birthday there and they delivered a birthday cake on her birthday. The only thing was there wasnt much to walk to so it was really just the hotel although lindos wasnt far in a taxi. We had such a fab time!! Thank you

We've just returned from our first family holiday in Greece with some friends. Had a fabulous stay, really lovely hotel and food, kids said it was the best holiday ever. Our double room with sea view wasn't ready when we arrived, so we were upgraded to a family suite for the night which was nice after the long travel. Even better, the hotel later told us we would get a late checkout as well due to us not going to our original room the first night which was very much appreciated. You don't have to rush down to put a towel down on the sun beds as they don't allow them to be put on until 10am if you are disappearing, I learnt this the hard way as I didn't read the instructions and my towel was moved as I put it down earlier, so I just went down before 10 the following days. We did a few days at the beach and a few days by the pool and at the hotel all day. We had one day visiting the beautiful town of Lindos and the Acropolis which I would highly recommend to everyone, our friends 5 year old and our 6 year old easily managed it in the 35 degree heat, we kept taking breaks on the climb up. The sandy beach at the bottom is beautiful and we spent the rest of the day here which the kids loved. I would recommend going in the morning before 12 for the main climb if you have kids. The best part of the hotel though for us was the entertainment team, they work all day entertaining with the kids clubs and arranging activities around the pool and then there's a kids disco every night at 830pm and a 930pm show for the adults after which had some hilarious sketches and had us in stitches . They were always full of energy, smiling and you could see they loved what they do and work well as a team. By far the best entertainment team I've ever seen from our holidays, nobody even comes close, they are a real credit to the hotel. We have to give Princess Sun 10/10 and can't wait to come back.

We have just come from an amazing holiday here and highly recommend this hotel. All staff are kind, happy and helpful. From the day we got here and the end of the holiday we felt so relaxed. Rooms- all very spacious, clean and tidy every day. We had a lovely garden/sea view. Pools- we all had a fantastic time in the pools and managed to get a sun bed every day. Spa- the kids and I all had massages, both the staff that work in there were so good with us all. Highly recommend the massage too. Food- we found the food really nice and lots of variety and the snack bar was a great hit at lunch time. Our favorite meal was the Asian night as it was very tasty. Camelia at the pool bar was always really friendly and had a smile on her face every day. Entertainment team- well what can I say, you're all absolutely amazing and work so hard to keep everyone happy throughout the day and evening. All the shows that we saw made us smile and giggle. Especially when you roped my husband into joining in. My husband and I enjoyed the activities that you organized around the pool. Kids club- my daughter really enjoyed going and making new friends. The staff are very good with the kids. We will definitely be back next year.

We stayed for 12 nights at this hotel and had the best holiday. The animation team are AMAZING and work so hard to make sure that everyone has a great holiday. Special shout out to Cosimo (#no 1 fan!) Barbara, Masimo and Lara. You are brilliant. They are all very friendly and personable and get everyone involved in the activities and dancing. They absolutely made our holiday as special as it was. Thanks so much to you all you have made a huge impact on my son and his cousin. The food whilst not a huge range was yummy and the hotel was clean. All the hotel staff were firney too and always happy to help us. The free car to the beach was really great too a you could go out and explore a bit. Would highly recommend this hotel (but remember it is on top of a hill!)

Lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. We arrived late and had sandwiches, drinks and fruit left in the fridge for us. Balcony was big with partial sea view. Pools and areas was clean and plentiful. Slides not masssive but big enough for both younger children and preteens id say. Floats were allowed in the pool too. Food in main restaurant was pretty good for AI. Lots of choice, live cooking stations, food terrace was nice to sit out on. Bar was good as were available drinks. Pool bar was a bit slow service, food at the pool snack bar was great We used the provided bus service to take us to sister hotel and beach. Food here was really good too and bar service was good. Lots of beds available on the beach. The hotel is quite far from airport so was a lengthy transfer but we didn't mind really. Hill up and down from the hotel is quite steep but we found it manageable. We never went to see any entertainment purely our choice, kids were mostly shattered in the evenings. Son joined in day time activities such as football he really enjoyed this, staff were friendly and fun We accessed the spa on check out day for showers, clean and adequate, you get them to yourself with towels provided when you book a time slot. We would return here for as more quieter relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a week at the Princess Sun! We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the negative reviews and genuinely wonder what people expect in a 4* these days. There is plenty of choice of food throughout the day, with lots of salads, fruits, meats etc. the pizza at the pool bar is absolutely amazing and they make them constantly in the pizza ovens throughout the day. Drinks could be better in terms of the cocktails etc, but again for a 4* I was happy with the quality and there are plenty of soft drink options at the pool bar too (including gorgeous peach and strawberry slushies). Carmelia who works behind the bar is absolutely brilliant! She can make about 5 drinks at a time and it’s fascinating . The beach bus runs every half an hour and the time table is available at the hotel and on the bus stop outside. The drivers are really friendly too and wont leave you hanging around if they see you are waiting. Its only a 9 seater bus though so if you want to go to the beach, i would bear that in mind. Towel cards are provided at the start of your stay (and towels can be changed every 2 days) and on your last day you need to make sure you get the cards back once you hand your towels in. Luckily we didnt get charged for not having these but we hadnt realised we needed to get the cards back from the spa and there was no one around when we took them back. The reception staff are really friendly! Particularly Poppy who is extremely helpful. The little shop just outside the hotel is pretty reasonable in terms of prices, but there are a few shops at the bottom of the hill to the right. The hill is quite steep so if you have mobility issues you may be best off seeing if the beach bus can drop you off at the bottom of the hill and i know he picked people up on his way back up if he spotted them. If you turn left out of the hotel and walk down to the safari quad place there is a small hill to the left with a beach bar at the bottom called Mosa and a restaurant to the right called Lythos. Both are beautiful and extremely chilled. Mosa is free entry as well and does lovely food and cocktails. My friends hired a car and we were fortunate enough to go into lindos with them, it would have been nice to explore a little more if we had had time but you could park at st pauls bay for €7 all day. If you prefer then i think the bus was only €3! Again, prices and timetables can be seen at reception and the bus stops at the bottom of the hill. There are plenty of beds too and yes some people do reserve them but no one says anything and there’s still beds at 10ish! The three pool areas are well maintained with the smaller pool (with the beige beds/parasols) is the quieter spot. The animation team do a lot of activities during the day and dont pester you too much if you want to just sit and chill. Overall we couldnt fault the food, the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms!
