Hotel Parthenon Rodos City

So me and my brother flew in from England and stayed the week here, I booked before I looked at reviews then when I saw them i obviously panicked and thought it was gonna be a sh*T show, thankfully it was way better than expected. Firstly the location is great, 10 min walk from old town and the bus station where it costs €5 to go to lindos etc, sea a minute away, plenty of shops and restaurants around. The staff are very friendly and no extra fees were pushed on us, the room was clean, sure a bit of peeled paint was on the walls (not shocked due to humidity of Rhodes) but it was clean and nice. The room was cleaned 4 times in our 7 night stay and we enjoyed our visit, will definitely be staying again. I think some people pay for 2* and expect 5* lmao. For a 2* hotel it was way better than expected.
Avalon Boutique Suites Hotel

Stayed overnight at the Avalon on arrival in Rhodes before getting the ferry to Symi the following morning. Also booked an overnight stay on return from Symi before flying back to London the following day. Avalon is very convenient to the ferry port and is situated in a quiet street only a few minutes walk to the bustling Old Town. Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard. Management and staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

Port Royal Villas and Spa - Adults Only

This hotel is absolutely amazing...I really cannot say anything negative about it. From the staff to the facilities and the location, everything about this hotel is 5 star. Me and my partner went B and B as we like to get out and explore. The breakfast was delicious with so much choice . The staff are so accommodating and will do anything for you. We did eat once in the hotel at the Italian themed restaurant (can't remember the name) and the food was very good . Bit poncy but obviously prepared and served with class at the forefront. The room was spotless and so comfortable with an amazing view that I will always remember. The pool at night is a spectacular. Little lights that change colour and flicker all evening giving the ambience of the hotel such a classy and visually amazing touch . The beach directly opposite the hotel is rocky and pebbly but still very nice. I personally am a beach coniseur so always search for the best beaches. So I would highly recommend tskimba beach which is 10 minute bus ride away . Best beach I have been to ...golden soft sand , crystal clear water. Amazing little bar/restaurant playing chilled and relaxing music. Service to your sunbed if you want and only €20 for 2 sunbeds and a brolly. Outside of the hotel there is an abundance of little shops and restaurants with a variety of different foods . Altogether Rhodes was amazing. The Sentigo Royal Port and spa is absolutely amazing. I will definitely be returning to this place .
Lindos Portes Suites - Adults Only

We booked this place last minute, based on the review and its position. No complaints about the room. Spacious and clean and equipped as described. Good aircon and safe included in the price. Maid service top notch. However, there was one thing they didn't bother to mention, and I'm confident it's not an oversight. That is, that the minute you opened the door to use your balcony you are assailed by the deafening noise of the extractor unit for the restaurant downstairs, and by the accompanying hot stench, primarily of stale cooking oil, but with the odd recognisible recipe thrown in. This was delivered by way of a large metal pipe which emerged at the balcony level of the next apartment. That apartment seemed to have been abandoned (although I was told otherwise). See photos, which also show the rubbish in the yard below our balcony and the cut off balcony rail. I rang the number provided after our first night and spoke to Nicky. I politely explained that I was very unhappy with the situation and asked to be moved to another room. She told me there were no other rooms, either in the Suites or the hotel. All the time we were talking Nicky was punctuating the conversation with what I imagine she felt were reassuring, ”uh-huhs”. In fact they were intensely irritating, and it soon became apparent that they were actually just her way of saying, ”I really couldn't care less”. When I asked why they even dared to rent the place out, and pointed out that the next door apartment was clearly not used, she assured me that it was, and would be occupied ”in the next few days”. This was an outright lie; we were there six more days and it remained empty, and the balcony strewn with rubbish, when we left. So, on a holiday where the daytime temperature never dropped below 30 degrees, if we wanted to use the outside space we would face noise levels comparable with those you face when leaving airport departures to walk to your plane while its engines are warming up, and a continuous blast of hot air reminiscent of a seat near the kitchen at a Greasy Spoon. Our routine on a Greek holiday is to eat breakfast on the balcony and to have drinks there before and after venturing out for dinner. So this is not a frivolous review. Our holiday was spoiled, and spoiled because Lindos Portes are willing to rent this hell hole out without mentioning in any way what their ”guests” are in for. It's shabby and smacks of just being unable to turn down the money. They obviously won't use the place next door, because the huge (uncovered) extractor pipe actually terminates at its balcony, but just can't resist keeping this one on the books, even though its only feet away. I'll make it clear - I seek no ”compensation” from LIndos Portes. Frankly, I wouldn't touch them again with a barge pole. I simply want prospective customers to know what they're in for if they're allocated room 1. And also what to expect by way of customer service, if my experience is anything to go by, shoul
Lindos Grand Resort & Spa - Adults Only

This was our 4th visit to Lindos Grand, we first visited a week after it opened and as the years have passed it has been great to re-visit and see the changes to the hotel and its dining options. From the first year we visited we have always been extremely well looked after and each year it has been so lovely to return and see team members there we now consider friends and to meet new ones. This year was a trip with friends to celebrate my 50th birthday and we decided to have the main celebration meal at the hotel in Thalatta which was exceptional. Stavros Manousakis the Executive Chef met with us to discuss the menu and ensure our friend who was vegetarian was very well catered for and we had the most wonderful food from Saint Jacobs Scallops, Lobster, Tuna Tartare etc. The food we had in all the restaurants was faultless I would recommend anyone visiting to use the a la carte restaurants the sea food platter in the Fish Restaurant and the Truffle Arancini in the Italian were just a couple of highlights, you won't be disappointed and will be well looked after by Charis and Nikos and the rest of the team . We had a suite with a pool which we love for the quietness and exceptional views but we spent a good deal of time around the pool as we had friends with us, the infinity pool is huge and the addition of the cabanas was a great idea. We hired cabanas for our group on one of the days and it was worth the cost as it included some cocktails, water and choice of food per person from the bar menu, the bar menu food is excellent and very generous. The entire time we spent at the hotel we received great service from Elena who worked around the pool and looked after us in the cabanas. Oretsis in the bar made incredible Negronis! We had the pleasure of being looked after in the bar at night by the gorgeous Yulia who always made sure we had what we needed and drinks were replenished quickly and also Manolis. It was great to see Tasos was still there we are very fond of him, it was great to catch up with him. To Georgios, thank you for helping us plan this celebration, you and Stavros always make our trips so special and I don't doubt we will return again. Please pass on our love and thanks to all the team from reception (Caterina etc) to the buggy team (who were always on hand to ferry us around!) and all the others mentioned who made the trip so special. Until next time!
