We visited this hotel with friends. Totally disappointed. Three rooms booked. Room 19, Bathroom door broken at bottom, door would not close leaving 4inch gap. Net curtains were very dirty. The windows could not be shut correctly as draft ***** put around the sides. This leads to a lot of outside traffic noise. making an uncomfortable nights sleep. The coffee in the room was out of date by 4 years. When mentioned at reception about the door, reply was oh yea its split. So why had this not been corrected before anyone was allocated this room. The food in the restaurant was left to be desired. The Chicken that was ordered had been left to dry out and not hot. we were compensated with a drink each.. The fire alarm went off at 7 am and a further 2 times. When mentioned at reception they said the toaster set it off. Only 3 personnel on. We were told that there was a tannoy system. but this was not used. As A health and safety concern this should have been used to inform all staying guests there, that it was a false alarm, especially for those staying on the top floor. The breakfast was not even worth taking about. Waiting time was way to long. choice was poor. Room 20, milk was out of date, there was mould on the windows. the fans outside went off at night but one was still on. Room 22, Coffee out of date by 4 years. There was a dirty towel with dirty footprints left in the bathroom. the sink was cracked and there was also a leak. when stating the above at reception and asked for a manger, we were told that there was no one on site. (this was about 9;35) our friends were told a member of the management team would be in touch. This Hotel is not upto the same standard as other Green King locations. Our friends in room 22 had a phone call from Kerry, who stated that she had just taken over at the hotel. They received a refund for the room. they were told that the rooms 19 & 20 would receive vouchers. This was to the value of £20 between rooms 19 & 20. when trying to contact Kerry at the hotel. the E-Mails were screened by Green King Customer services preventing contact. This is not you would expect from Green King. Think this was answered by a jobs worth to prevent any further compensation. Look forward to Kerry's and green King's comments. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. Better Green King pubs in Kent and Suffolk along with professional staff who are customer focused. SEE SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWS WITH SIMILAR COMMENTS.

Was served an extremely cry overcooked macaroni cheese! Brought it to the waiters attention but not even as much as an apology!! Perhaps more training needed for the staff??such a shame as my partner enjoyed her lunch.Won’t be back as not taking the chance of a disappointment!!

Excellent setting in front of the river Clyde with lovely views even from the ground floor. The rooms were adequate although the single room could have had the bathroom more cleansed. The breakfasts were excellent and the evening meals had a great choice and were good value too. The bar was well staffed and friendly with an good range. Private car park and lovely walk to Helensburgh along the prom.

Visited for lunch with my Mum and it was lovely. Service was excellent with every member of staff being very friendly and welcoming. The menu was really varied, we opted for the lunch menu deal which was excellent value. The food was delicious, hot and perfectly cooked. Overall, excellent and we will be back. Thank you.

Having booked in on the 24/12/2023 with my service dog. I was told that the room I had booked in September of this year. Was not allocated to me. Which happened to be a sea view room. I was offered a downstairs carpark room for disabled person with wheelchair access. On entering the room ,all looked good at first sight. On closer inspection. The room had I'll fitting window. That it was not possible to close fully. There was also damage from damp to the lower part of the wall from damp, beneath the window. The plumbing in the wet room was at best poor quality. A single very small sink and low mirror above. Which some time for the warm water to come through the tap. And the shower had also poor pressure and I had to wait for some time again to receive warm water. And the fitting for the handheld shower was next to useless. The toilet seat had been replaced at some point previously with one of the wrong size and was not fit for purpose. The toilet bowl it's self had two large cracks in the sides of it, on the inside. The breakfast was faultless, and had a good selection on offer for all dietary requirements. which could not be said for the one and only main meal I had from the venue. which consisted of a chewy tasteless meat pie, a small scoop of mash potato, four uncooked pieces of broccoli, and a small cup of gravy. Obviously there to try and soften the wood like broccoli. And at just over £11.00 pounds was a total rip off. Will I be eating there again I don't think so. And just to top it off 1 pint of Guinness at £5.00 a glass.
