Nice small place, with nice people trying their best. You have to ask and then go with what they have. A bit pricy, but fine surroundings, and great to have a look to Etna from your room, we had one of the suites and found it nice although either cold or warm, and as said you had to ask even for a kettle and some cups, and then bring you own coffee Nice small town nearby (1-2 KM walk) with some nice restaurants.

Santantonio Resort Riposto Sicily Without question one of Sicily’s Best Finds!! We had the pleasure of vacationing here in October 2024. We found Santantonio Resort to be an absolutely delightful Boutique Resort. It is situated along the Straight of Messina (the waterway between Sicily and Italy’s mainland), just a mile from local markets, souvenir shops, cafés and local pop-up events. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and meticulously maintained with tropical greenery, swaying palm trees and 100+ year old olive trees, and of course the stunning backdrop of water on one side, and Mt. Etna on the other. The resort is a modern newer build, and Super Clean! The food, Oh My Goodness THE FOOD! In our opinion it is equivalent to Michelin Star, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. During our stay we had the pleasure of meeting the owners of the resort Don Antonio and Carmela. Honestly, they are the most gracious, good-hearted people we have ever met! Their passion and pride in creating a beautiful resort for their guests to enjoy, and ensuring each quest has a meaningful experience while vising Sicily is exceptional. Don Antonio and Carmela’s passion and dedication is reflected in their staff. Each and every one of the staff members are very welcoming and genuinely happy to help you. Each day the Concierge had prepared something different for us to experience and explore. During our 2 week stay we visited Mt. Etna, explored Catania, Taormina, Siracusa, Avola, we took part in local events, and simply enjoyed the beautiful weather while lounging by the pool. If we could leave a 10+++ rating for the Santantonio Resort, we would! We travel often and have explored many parts of Europe, staying in the highest rated resorts and hotels. We never expected this Boutique Resort in Sicily to be superior to all the rest. We also found Sicilians to be the nicest people in all of Italy. We arrived at Santantonio Resort as guests, and left as family! We are counting the days until we return again next year! Grazie a tutti, a presto! Pipo & Ibolya

No negative things to say. Only positive things: modernised and very clean four star hotel where everything works: pool works, WiFi works, showers have enough pressure and are warm enough etc. Pretty swimming pool and garden with a great view on the Etna. Great terrace for breakfast with view of the see. And really great service as well: family business that takes care of the customers. All employees (reception, breakfast, bar, restaurant) helpful and friendly.

Great hotel on the water about 1km from the marina. We had a couple of nights here on our way around the north east coast of Sicily and couldn't have asked for more from this hotel and its staff. Our suite was super comfortable and the facilities at the hotel exceeded expectations. If you're in this part of the world, Riposto is a great example of a Sicilian town not quite suffering from an excess of international tourists - a good place to stage a day visit to Taormina from and enjoy a more relaxed stay in the shadow of Etna.

Just back from a 14 day stay and we are already missing the tranquility and warmth of this small family-run hotel. The owners and wonderful team are always attentive to details, and no request is ever felt a bother. Special call-outs to Evelyne, Paola and Elena who looked after us most of the time and are an absolute joy. The front is literally 10-15m from the sea, so sitting to enjoy a meal or cocktail or watching the sunrise is complemented by the relaxing sound of the waves. The rear though is even more stunning with a mini lake-style pool in beautiful garden surrounds and overlooked by the majesty of an ever-smoking Etna! The catering is excellent with a menu that offers just the right balance and choice. The Chef uses only premium local produce to present fine-dining standard dishes. Normally we would never simply stay in a hotel to eat, but after a couple of days eating out and being underwhelmed we decided to eat in - as choice and quality was perfect. To cap it off the owner is very proud of the selection of granite offered, which are all made on-site. On a couple of occasions he brought me over a new sample to taste. In my experience, the best granite are found on the coast line between Messina and Catania, and SAR certainly maintains the expectation of a super granita. We did walk to the adjoining towns but didnt find them particularly beautiful so we preferred to jump on a train and easily visit Catania or Taormina along the coast. The owners son Andrea happily drove/picked us up from the station which is too far to walk. If you want 7-10 days of peace and tranquility, without sight-seeing, I cannot recommend SAR highly enough. Alternatively if you are driving and want a base for a long weekend, then again the resort hits the spot. Bravo!

What a fabulous stay! We spent 4 nights in this wonderful hotel (part 1 of a 2 part holiday). It was absolutely amazing. From the minute we arrived I felt very relaxed, the atmosphere just works. The service was brill and the we were made to feel welcome with the children. The pool is stunning and also lovely and peaceful. For our final evening, we decided to stay in and dine at the hotel restaurant. It was fabulous, the food, wine and service were all just perfect! And all of this with a view of splendid Mount Etna.
