We left a nearby campground after an awful experience and needed a last minute place to stay as we were traveling from FL to NJ. Last minute they got us two sites but what made the the impact was their greeting and hospitality. The weekend office staff were welcoming and friendly and helped us turn a nightmare situation we left a pleasant easy hospitable experience! It’s a very clean park with easy level pull through sites.

NEVER have I ever been greeted SO RUDELY. We spent 9 hours on the road and finally arrived at 5:32. The office was closed, but our site was on the board so we took a pic of the wifi and site number and went to our designated site. We began to set up camp, and shortly after my brother in law arrived to surprise me with flowers (it was my birthday and we were in Roanoke Rapids to visit him and my SIL). He said he was going to take us out to dinner once we got settled. A few minutes later a golf cart pulled up with 2 women on it. I said hi and they just sat there until the driver said "you have TWO vehicles?". I said no, we just have the 1 but my brother in law came to take us to dinner. She said "no visitors allowed unless you register them ahead of time". I said "we just got here at 530 and the office was closed, and there was no welcome packette with rules, etc. She just sat there and said to my brother in law "you can't park there, you have to park in the lot over there". So he said "sorry, but I didn't know and just got her to take them to dinner". Her response was just as snotty as her welcome and said "you have been here just over 30 minutes". I said (again) "sorry, we didn't know. Like I said we just got here and there was nothing left for us with the rules, and we don't normally break rules, but we didn't know. They just sat there staring at us - my poor brother in law was so uncomfortable and I was a bit shocked. He again apologized and said he was sorry and that he was taking us to dinner to Don Juans. She said "what" He repeated...she said "where did you say"....he repeated to Don Juans and she said "its great there and we just went for lunch". Well good for you - but you didn't have to be so rude was all I was thinking. They left, and we then left for dinner. My brother in law was like "wow, that security golf cart really went to their heads". The next morning I went into the office and the same 2 women were there - I said I was registering my brother in law who was again picking us up. She said "what site" and I said "oh geez I can't remember" and she said "oh your New Hampshire". I said yes, and while I am here I didn't appreciate the not so welcome greeting last night - the office was closed and we didn't know. There is certainly a way you could have told us about the registration, etc. I was embarrassed in front of my brother in law who was coming there to surprise me for my birthday. If rules are so important, you should leave a welcome packette like other campgrounds do." No apology - no nothing. WOW. This campground was so convenient to my brother in law who just moved to RR last month but we will never return. I would rather drive an hour than be treated like this. No Southern Hospitality there! The other campers and the guy who picked up the trash were so nice - but this Paul Blart wanna be and her silent partner should be spoken to - what a horrible experience.

WORST CAMPGROUND EVER. And I don’t say that lightly. My husband and I travel on the road for his job and have been doing so for over 2 years and have never encountered this. We made our reservation over the phone(we stay monthly) and let her know we wanted one of the spots with a gazebo. She said this wasn’t a problem. When we got there, a woman I believe to be named Jean literally LAUGHED IN OUR FACE for asking for a gazebo. She said word for word “HAHAHAHA yeah no that’s not happening hahaha”. She didn’t even explain the reasoning. We were more than willing to pay the $5 extra a day that the gazebos cost but she didn’t even let me get that far. She said off limits. But it wasn’t off limits when we talked on the phone? I can only chalk this up to her judging us because we are both 24 and she assumed we couldn’t afford it. Trust me the looks she was giving told us all we needed to know. Sadly we had paid a month in advance so we stayed hoping it would get better. Not only were most of the gazebos taken up by EMPLOYEES who also had their lots a wreck(eyesore), all sites were always soaking wet no matter how much rain, sites are not level AT ALL, the hot tub isn’t a hot tub it’s a glorified kiddie pool, the dryers don’t work even after 4 times, and let’s not forget that right after we got our camper set up, we laid down to relax and ONE OF THE STAFFS HUSBAND CAME AND MOVED OUR PICINC TABLE INFRONT OF OUR CAMPER DOOR LOCKING US IN!!!!! Thank God my husband was there and not at work or I would’ve been screwed and so would have my dogs. He was able to push it out of the way and squeeze out just enough to get us out. Yes horrifying. Did I mention this to the other staff?? Absolutely. Was anything done at all to rectify ANY of these situations?? NOTHING!!!! I HIGHLY recommend going ANYWHERE ELSE. A REST AREA WOULD TREAT YOU BETTER AND YOU DONT EVEN PAY THEM.

This is a regular over night stop for us on the way back to NJ.very clean nice park. Only draw back is no cable and WiFi weak. Laundry, bathrooms very nice. Sites are level. Stores and restaurants couple miles down the road. Pool and hot tub look very nice, never use them, off season.

We arrived after dark, 6:10 PM. The office was closed and our reservation did not appear on the list. However, lots were available. It hadA rained a lot the day prior and there was puddling and mud. The sites are gravel or paved. And flat. The public areas are very clean, well- lit, and spacious. Nice bathrooms and showers. Clean laundry with plenty of washers and dryers. Game area, hot tub available, pool closed. It is December, after all. Wide areas, room to comfortably turn. Right off Rt. 95.

Started full timing on May 22nd and waited til the last minute to schedule a campground for Memorial Day weekend, this was the only one that had room in the general direction we were taking. Clean, level, close together sites. No wi-fi (broken due to storm), no cable television and local channels were limited to NC PBS. it was so frustrating that we went out and got T-Mobile's home internet to travel with (so far good decision). I digress, really nothing to do in Roanoke Rapids and surrounding areas, so I would recommend this RV "Resort" only for 95 people traveling through. Nice staff with my limited interactions

This is a very convenient RV park Easy off and on. Sites we’re spaciousness and people were very nice. No cable or Wi-Fi here. Not many channels on antenna. Had a problem with ink or grease in dryer and it got all over my dress cloths. Office staff tried hard to help figure it out. Thank you.

Another quick overnight very convenient off the highway. Nice dog park. We were in an out but would definitely stay again. We called the a few days before and then needed to modify our dates and the gentleman I spoke with was kind and efficient.

When traveling I-95, this campground is perfect for a 1 or 2 night stopover. I mean, you could stay longer - it's just that we've used it several times as a stop over while heading south. In warmer months, the pool is perfect!
