Not sure what this place is trying to be in that, on approach, it looks like a 1970’s building but as you walk in, it turns all ‘wooden ‘! It’s actually really nice with alternative furnishings and attractive decor with a lovely open fireplace in the bar/restaurant area. The staff are friendly and helpful (and patient!) and the whole place feels warm and welcoming. There is an outdoor swimming pool, which isn’t heated, and I believe there was a sauna too. Unfortunately, this hotel still offers single rooms and when I say single rooms, I mean SINGLE rooms....mine was tiny! I can’t remember the last time I slept (or tried to) in a single bed - it was a whole new learning experience! The door to the tiny bathroom opened outwards and you had to manoeuvre yourself carefully to make sure it didn’t trap you against the wall and, it wouldn’t stay open so I had to wedge it open because the bathroom itself was so hot. Great location with a 10-15 min walk to the beach. Anyhow, pleasant enough, small rooms but nice touches. I attach a photo of my favourite feature😊

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable, we had two nights of great sleep. The bar/restaurant was lovely, we sat by the fire for drinks and enjoyed delicious dinner. The team were fantastic and looked after us throughout our stay. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend BadHotel Rockanje.

If youre looking for a Canadian rockies themed hotel by the sea in the Netherlands, then this is the place for you 🤣. Room was not huge but comfortable. Bed was way too soft for my liking. Shower decent. Bathroom pretty small. All seemed clean. 10 minutes walk to beach. Large car park.

We were very please by the hotel. The room was renovated , a bit small, but still OK for the 3 days we stayed. Employees were very kind. Location is great-10min from beach. The food in restorourant was very tasty. Negativ: Service in restourant was a bit slow Breakfast is not so rich,but still tasty For sure we will come back again!

Last minute booking here. Lots of nice features here and unusual decor etc. Very niche you might say. Inviting bar area, lovely outdoor pool and great surroundings. Room was quirky. A tad musty, but decent enough with nice balcony area to sit and relax. No available iron in room or even to take to the room, but the receptionists was amazing and offered to iron a short for me in the housekeeping room with their industrial (non portable) iron👍🏻 Breakfast was very good. Dog friendly hotel with character. Would return!

Absolute recommendation - especially with a dog! The super friendly staff always has a treat in their pocket for our puppy and they really love animals! The hotel itself is very stylish, beautiful, warm ambience. And the food is a dream: there is no 0815 here, but delicious creative cuisine! We will be back

Het is een heel mooi hotel en mooi aangekleed in Canadese Lodgestijl. Het zijn heel mooie kamers maar onze kamer Maple double had een vreemde indeling. De douche komt direct uit in de slaapkamer en de lavobo is in de intrede hal van de kamer. Toch heel mooi versierd en gezellig met uitzicht op het zwembad. Ook het restaurant is heel mooi en de bediening was heel vriendelijk (tenzij één Nederlandse serveuze die niet op haar mond gevallen was, op het arrogante af) Wij hadden een arrangement met half pension. De keuze in het avondmaal is heel beperkt, wat ik niet goed versta gezien de prijzen op de normale menukaart in dezelfde prijsklasse liggen. De bediening was traag en het niveau van de bereidingen niet goed. De rib-eye was niet gebakken volgens wens. 1 ervan hebben we terug naar de keuken moeten sturen en de bearnaise saus was geschift. Dit is een minimale vereiste opdat het restaurant het niveau van een bistro zou halen, laat staan het niveau van een restaurant. Na dit gemeld te hebben, kregen wij de afrekening van de drank te horen dat de 3 koffies van de groep gratis waren. Qua hotelfaciliteiten waren er ook problemen. Wij hadden geboekt via een organisator van weekends en hierbij zou het zwembad open zijn vanaf mei. Tot onze verbazing bleek het zwembad niet gevuld te zijn. Fout doorgegeven aan de organisator? Ook is er volgens deze organisator een afgesloten fietsenstalling maar deze bleek niet aanwezig te zijn. Op hun eigen website staat er wel geen fietsenstalling vermeld. Er is geen kluisje op de kamer, geen frigo, en geen verwelkomingskit. Bij aankomst moet je ook direct betalen, hoewel het hotel beschikt over de gegevens van de credit kaart. Normaal reken je af bij vertrek. Prijs kwaliteit is het duur voor een driesterren hotel. De ligging is wel heel goed: op 800 meter van het strand en een open zwembad is ook belangrijk in de zomer (als het gevuld is) Al met al niet om direct terug te keren

Het eten was een teleurstelling. Ik ging voor de nacho's. Lekker met jalapeno pepertjes en chipotle. Ik had me hier op verheugd, toen bleken deze twee ingrediënten er niet bij te zitten, terwijl ze wel op de menukaart stonden. bord teruggestuurd, ik kreeg het terug met jalapeno's (die moesten nog uit de vriezer komen) maar geen chipotle want die pittige saus deden ze maar niet meer. Als je besluit bepaalde ingrediënten niet meer toe te passen, zet ze dan niet meer op de menukaart.
