Delighted to discover this friendly, well run pub with quiet annexed twin bed rooms. Very polite and welcoming phone call reservation, equally met with lovely community welcome on our arrival. We were looking for an overnight to break our journey to the Portsmouth Ferries. (This turned out to be a great decision with the ever expanding road network approaching the Portsmouth Ferry Terminals. Superb choice of food and convenient parking right outside our easily accessible room. We look forward to staying here again for its high quality and convenience in travelling

We often visit the Drovers if going out for lunch or dinner, the staff are really welcoming. We have worked our way through the menu and specials board it is the best lamb shank I have had. All the food is tasty and made to order and always hot, nothing is too much trouble for the welcoming team.

We visited the Jolly Drover on a Friday evening. Food was delicious - we had the fish and chips and butternut squash risotto. Good selection of beers and wines. Staff were super friendly and welcoming and we got to enjoy some chilled live music. A perfect way to start the weekend. We will be back!

Very friendly and helpful staff. we were on a cycling holiday in the South Downs area. Very accommodating with reference to bike storage etc Then on to the food. We stayed on a Sunday night so the restaurant closed at 6 pm but arrived in time to enjoy a drink and lovely supper. I had the liver and bacon which was cooked very well ( nice pink liver) while others in our party had the risotto and char grilled vegetables with mozzarella. And puddings were delicious as well. The rooms were comfortable and nice shower. Breakfast perfect start to a busy day cycling. Chef took the order and again very obliging and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Well done Drover Team.

We had a family reunion for 17 people with a few of us staying overnight and the rest of the family joining us for dinner in the evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. It made the evening extremely enjoyable. The accommodation was comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was great.

Even though I arrived early, no problem. Staff polite and efficient. Room very clean, tidy and well prepared, mint chocs included! Dinner was excellent, service good considering how busy it was. Opted for “pie of the day” which was excellent with the fresh veg. Would stay there again.
