A solid 10 out of 10!
Our stay here was perfect. It takes a while to get to the hotel, which is situated in a small town. The attention to detail is remarkable. The indoor pool area is extremely beautiful and continues to the outside area. The water is warm, probably above 30 degrees Celsius, but there is a small mini lake with colder water which is really nice. The food is fantastic. 5 course menus in the evening with minimum waiting for each course. Breakfast and lunch both perfect. The gym area is huge. Our room, 308, was incredible. You cannot possibly be disappointed if you stay at this hotel. A few suggestions though: Dinner time is until 8. I would suggest extending it until 9 PM. We felt we had to leave the pool area earlier than we would have liked in order to be ready for dinner. Also, there is a gaming room with pool, darts and table tennis where a lot of people like to go after dinner. Although the gym is huge, this gaming room is very small. I would suggest to extend the gaming facilities in the gym area.

Overall pretty good indeed. Pros: - Excellent - very modern Gym - Pools (indoor and outdoor) large AND warm enough - Bubbling. Gadgets (water massages) are excellent and helpful - Deck chairs are very comfortable- and also enough for all guests - Most of the service crew is charming Cons: - Food (all set menus) mediocre at best, nothing to write home about - Vegan options: very few - Some wear and tear clear to see (e.g.algae at hot tub) - Sometimes "tonality" is very "direct" Value for money - on the low end ...

Update to my 2017 review: Since that time my wife and I have been back three more times and each visit was just as great as the previous ones. They have also added a new building with rooms and suites that include private whirlpools, saunas and swimming pools. We found the new decor in those rooms a bit dark, but no complaints!

Absolutely exceptional in every way. The quality and care is immediately noticeable. Every detail has been paid attention to. The staff is very well trained and attentive. If you’re looking for a high-quality experience where you do pay for what you get than this is the Place. Exceptional I will go back.

Already second time there and still amazing. Great team, amazing gastronomic offer and an complete wellness offer. We had this time our best sauna experience ever thanks to Zsolt! To not hesitate to attend his sauna cessions when you are there.

Ausgezeichnetes Wellness Hotel. Mitten im Bayerischen Wald gelegen bietet dieses Hotel alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Ein sehr gut geschultes, sehr angenehm auftretendes Personal, welches unaufdringlich, aber stets präsent, alles tut, um den Gast zufrieden zu stellen Der Wellness Bereich ist eine Wucht. Die Bar einen Besuch wert. Riesiges Angebot und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir waren in einer Suite, die in jeder Beziehung unsere Ansprüche erfüllt hat. Das Essensangebot ist vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen vielfältig und ausgewogen und erfüllt die Erwartungen gut. Ausgezeichnete Weinkarte. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Herzliche Begrüßung, wunderschöner Garten, super bequeme Liegen, super leckeres Essen (und auch div. Getränke) den ganzen Tag über, Mittagessen im Bademantel, das Abendessen so kunstvoll angerichtet, verschiedene Speiseräume mit schöner Deko, tolles Ambiente, immer nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, Workshops und Kurse in der Sportabteilung, gemütliches Zimmer … Am Anfang waren die verschiedenen Gebäude und Ebenen etwas verwirrend. Dafür entdeckt man immer wieder etwas Neues „Ach, hier ist ja noch ein Ruheraum! - Prima!“ (Hier wäre ein Übersichtsplan hilfreich.) Die Musik bei den Saunaaufgüssen müsste nicht so extrem laut sein. Ansonsten sind alle bemüht, die Aufgüsse zu etwas Besonderem zu machen. Hat Spaß gemacht!
