A charming historic villa in a beautiful setting. What made this property really stand out was the amazingly friendly and attentive staff!! My bags were 4 days delayed in arriving to Milan b/c of Delta's operational challenges. Sofia, Cinthia, Giorgio, and Paola were remarkable in their constant attentiveness to my needs: helping me to find clothes at a nearby mall and ceaselessly trying to get information from an unresponsive baggage office. I felt so well taken care of! The rest of the staff at the Villa were equally friendly and personable. Oh, and the food at the Villa was fresh and delicious!

We enjoyed our stay and dinner. Very good breakfast. We loved the spectacular interior. It's obvious they try very hard to keep it authentic. One remark: the bed was NO good! At least one could place a topper, so we won't feel the springs underneath...

The place is really magic. Wonderful Villa in the countryside. Back to the old times. The common rooms are really beautifully designed. The service is superb and the staff extremely professional, kind and ready to help. Super clean. Recommended.

Nice hotel with old world charm. It is nice to see an old building such as this kept alive and used. It does take a team to maintain it. We found the hotel comfortable. The room and bathroom had modern appliances ect. For some reason our room was very hot and outside temperature was low. The view to the mountains was nice as was the hotel garden. The surrounding villages are not anything special to see. Most of the Piedmont touristic sites, landscapes and villages/ towns are a good drive south. The lakes are a big drive north. So I would say the location requires consideration when planning a Piedmont tour. We did eat in the hotel one night. The menu was regionally typical and the food was good. Prices were reasonable also. Overall it is a nice comfortable and cute place to stay, providing a special ambience.

A little difficult to find at first but we’ll worth it. The main building is glorious. Rooms comfortable and the staff lovely. Restaurant food is a bit mediocre and the service mechanical but the hotel itself is just great. Pool and bar, Gym even a tennis court. Reception is very helpful and happy to help

Honestly I don’t know what to start with…..as I absolutely love that place. Excellent villa, landscape view is great. extremely friendly staff and always happy to help you. Pool just perfect and definitely I will recommend you to stay

The setting is beautiful, with lovely gardens all around and a pool. Unfortunately the pool is very cold even in the middle of a hot summer and the rooms could use some freshening up. The breakfast could use more fresh local products, we expected a better breakfast selection from a 4 star hotel. The service is good. The half-board evening meal is good but it would be great to have dessert included instead of two main courses. The charm of the place is definitely the best part.

We enjoyed very much our short stay at Villa Matilde, that is really a lovely and peaceful place to relax. The reception was very kind and efficient. Our room was according our expectations, although the mattress was a bit firm. Our dinner deserves a special mention, since the food was really excellent. We will certainly keep Villa Matilde in mind for a next stay.
