Sayed at Numa Portico for three nights. I chose the hotel as I've previously stayed with Numa elsewhere and they were excellent, not so this time. Okay, the pros The location is excellent, stuck between the Vatican and the Spanish steps. Decent access to public transport. A safe part of the city and close to many shops etc. The reception staff were extremely friendly, cheery and helpful. The room was large and very clean. The cons. The walls must be made with the thinnest plasterboard available. I could hear the guy next door chatting on his phone as if he was sat on my knee, not only that I could hear the person on the other end of the call clearly too. You can hear every little noise. Not great. My bed wasn't very comfortable at all. When staying only three nights that's not a massive issue. The shower. The water was hot enough but the water pressure was pretty low, resulting in a pretty disappointing shower. I must add that I didn't complain about anything as I'm not one who does that, I just go with it so maybe they could've helped if I'd spoke with them. It was decent though and it wouldn't put me off using Numa at all, just maybe if I return to Rome I'd possibly look elsewhere.

would like to share my honest opinion. I booked this hotel more than two months in advance and paid in full. Just two hours before check-in—right after I landed in Rome—I received an email informing me that my room would not be available due to “technical issues.” This was particularly frustrating as the location was very important to me, yet they offered to move me to another property located 40 minutes away, in the middle of nowhere. The handling of the situation was extremely disappointing—irresponsible, careless, and rude. There was no genuine apology, no real concern for the inconvenience caused, and the customer service was unacceptable.

Located a 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona, Numa Portico is an efficient, compact hotel with comfortable beds and good amenities. Rooms are well organised and equipped with a coffee machine, TV, fridge, and desk - there isn't much wardrobe / drawer space however. The bathroom has a shower and lovely Ren products. There is no concierge / any hotel staff and check in is all conducted through the online portal. If you arrive before your check in time and the room isn't prepared, they do have locker spaces to store luggage but there's no guarantee that there'll be one available. Rooms are only cleaned at the end of the stay but you can pay to have a cleaner come during your stay. Overall, don't expect frills and extras but the hotel is well located, with good rooms which provide the basics well and operate efficiently. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at numa.

Reading the other reviews, it seems your experience is based in the room you got, ours was excellent and clean, the bed is big and comfy, the bathroom is fantastic, and the most important thing Is the location in the middle Of everything, the digital Check-in was very smooth Excellent

Describes itself as a digital hotel. This means no staff and no service - in fact not what I call a hotel, just rooms to rent. We booked a so-called apartment for two couples but one of the bedrooms was so tiny and had windows that opened to an internal lift shaft and service duct that it was unusable. Also a tiny shower room to share. Very over=priced compares to proper 3 star hotels in the area.

Lovely quiet hotel. No staff on site as it says but there is a utility room you can get clean towels from and extra tea and coffee. We stayed in the tiny room with a terrace, as it said it was small but it was filled with everything you could need, a fridge, coffee machine, kettle, wardrobe with hangers, a safe, a TV and a very good sized bed. The bathroom was nice and clean, water temperature was a bit iffy at times but we were in and out ready to explore the city anyway. The terrace was huge, nice little table and chairs to enjoy the Italian roof tops and birds. It was very quiet, I don't know if we had good neighbours but we didn't hear anything during the night. I would say this is a nice hotel that does what it says, a tiny room means a lovely tiny room.

Although the rooms are in a centrally located area and have a Twrasse. Don't go there. The room was tiny, the terrace only accessible via the small bathroom/WC. The shower was either hot or cold. During the stay of 4 nights, the bath towels were never changed and the room was never cleaned. The room walls are very thin and you hear every word from the neighbors and in the staircase.

This small hotel is very centrally located. You could walk to anywhere you wanted for the main sights in under 30 minutes. Check in was easy and smooth and staff were very responsive to my messages via WhatsApp. I was delayed but my friend made it on time, and she had no issues getting in. In fact, the hotel was very gracious and generous and allowed her to check in early. Storage lockers were available for left baggage. Amenities were good. We usually don’t prefer to have housekeeping come every day, so this suited us well. You could grab any amenities you needed from the cupboard downstairs on the ground floor. Free drinks and water in the mini bar were a great plus. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were good, with plenty of hot water. Overall would recommend and would stay here again.

I travel solo and the hotel contacted me saying that maintenance workers needed to come in my room before my stay was over. The memo said they were services the air filters so I’m not sure why that couldn’t have waited until after my stay was complete. I ended up checking out a day early as I’m not comfortable with people coming in my room since I am a female who travels alone. Prior to this inconvenience, my stay was great. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled. The hotel is a bit loud though since the hallways are marble and echo a lot. I could hear my neighbors at all hours of the day but that’s to be expected living in such close quarters. The hotel was centrally located and I felt comfortable walking to and from at all hours of the day. I like not having to keep track of a room key or card as well. Overall, I would stay at this property again, just wish that maintenance could be performed when there is not a current reservation.
