Hotel Louisiana

I confess that I was very worried after reading the less than favorable reviews about this hotel. What to say? I had a good time, the room was comfortable and clean, the bed was excellent, the bathroom was complete with everything, air conditioning was perfectly positioned and the fridge was in the room. This experience teaches me that we shouldn't give too much importance to reviews, it may have been a while but I can assure you that the hotel is comfortable and clean.

Luckily we only stayed one night in this property, room full of dust, dirty bathroom, 19th century shower with bidet that barely came out with a tiny bit of water, dirty toilet, incompetent staff, they told us that car parking was available but we arrived at the facility they said that the parking lots were far away so they would go there to get the car when we needed it! Absolutely never again!

We were at this hotel recently motivated by its good quality-price ratings. It has been a great disappointment. Well, as soon as I entered the room, it gave off a strong dirty smell that came from the bedspread and the curtains. In addition, dirt in the closet, air conditioning vents, corners of the room, etc. The bed is very uncomfortable, the mattress is in very bad condition and you get stuck in the irons of the bed base. The bathroom needs an urgent review because the hot water works poorly, the cistern frequently gets clogged and the shower is not watertight and leaks water onto the bathroom floor and forms puddles. Also, the room was very small. Finally, the thickness of the walls should be minimal, as any noise or conversation can be heard. One does not feel comfortable nor rest well in these facilities. It has been a bad experience, I will never stay at this hotel again.

What saves this hotel is the excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the Quirinale and 20 from the Colosseum. We always moved around on foot, being able to see many attractions already in the surroundings of the hotel. Quiet and safe area, even in the evening. For the rest, the price paid is not up to the level of the room: it is clear that these are old rooms to which no maintenance has been done. The toilet flush was broken and threatened to fall off every time, plus it took a long time to refill. The sink did not drain and water accumulated. The shower was also very old. Given the excellent location, it could use more care.
